Microcrafts: Tiny Treasures to Make and Share

This book has beautiful photographs and it's really "cute". The instructions are probably not needed in many cases but I can understand how they should be included because the book wouldn't have much else to "say" without them. That said, the book made a wonderful gift to a young lady in middle-school who needed to be inspired and shown that grown-ups make wonderful little things and she should continue doing so.I would recommend this book for anyone who keeps a treasury, a bookshelf, of inspirational books for creative minds. I'm giving it 5 stars because it is well made, on heavy stock paper, the binding is secure so I think that it would do well in a school environment as well as a personal bookshelf or studio shelf.Most of the objects in the book, the photographs, made me smile. I would recommend the book to any crafts person but also to artists. It is a beautifully made book, quality construction as I said, and I will probably buy a few more copies to gift to my artistic friends who love to make "littles" like I do.

What I really enjoyed about this book, was two-fold: (1), it recognized there are different types of miniaturists, and (2) it didn't force you to do THEIR project, THEIR way.The book has twenty five different project, ranging from making miniature books and boats, to sewing projects, even to making those posh bottle caps with little pictures in them. All instructions (save the miniature book, but maybe I'm just a putz) are straightforward. It may take you a couple tries to get something as smooth and professional as it looks in the book, but by golly, they do give you the tools to do so!They also included quite a few websites in the back of the book, for supplies and inspiration. VERY useful if you don't want to waste gas driving to the next county for a specialty store.I highly recommend this book. It makes great gifts, plus lovely little treasures to keep around the house.

The skill level of this book would be great for activities with kids, I would have been able to get good use out of it when I was a Girl Scout leader. The projects are cute, but not what I was looking for. (This is a down-side of ordering books on-line when you can't flip through them.) Good news, my 4 month old granddaughter will eventually reap the benefits of fun time with grandma.

This is a great book with some unusual miniature crafting projects. The projects are contemporary and fun, and the illustrations are humorous and the text is engaging and whimsical. This is not a doll house crafting book per se, but many of the items could be incorporated into dollhouses or shadowboxes. I saw this book in a book store and mentally noted that I wanted to buy it later, and happened to look it up the next time I was on Amazon. I commend the authors on a cool book!

Not much to this book, but if you love working small then you will find some ideas and fun with this book.

My delivery was really quick. Love the book, so many fun little things to make! I plan to make the little books first ,endless ways to get creative.

I bought this book after seeing some of the patterns on Pinterest. As usual although you get to see some pages before buying it's only a vague guide of what the rest of the content is. I found after looking through it I would make the majority of the projects in the book. I'm generally a sewer but there's a good range of projects for different skills. If you fancy the idea of making tiny tiny projects then this is definitely the book for you!

This a really nice book. I have already made some of the little things in it. I have always had a thing about tiny things so this is right up my street. I really liked the baby monsters and the tiny - smaller than your finger nail - cats. What I need now are match boxes to make little homes for them. Nice looking cover which gives no real clue as to all the tiny fun that is going on inside!

This book is so sweet and my friend who is big on crafts loved it. The only improvement would be a few more customisation options or alternate ideas - there are around 25 crafts with very specific instructions and it would have been nice to allow for a little more creativity around them.

I love this book so much. I want to make everything in it. And the great thing is you can scale up as well as down, for example if you wanted to make a normal sized book you could do so from the comprehensive instructions given. Can't wait to get started... :O)

I'm really not sure what I would use any of the items you can make for, it's good to look through but i didn't feel inspired to make anything from it yet. Maybe you could use things for a doll's house?
