Buy it!
I consider myself an audiophile. I have a JL Audio sound system in my truck. I'm getting ready to by the Focal K2 3way components for my front sound stage to replace my JL Audio C3s. I have 2 JL Audio 8W7s for subwoofers in a sealed custom enclosure. That being said, I'm no stranger to quality sound. I did a ton of research on home audio systems and I found this sweet setup. I am thoroughly impressed with the sound quality. I'm running it as a 5.1 channel surround system right now. Friday I have 4 ceiling speakers coming and I plan on running it as a 5.1.4 system to take advantage of Dolby Atmos. The Pioneer receiver weighs about 25lbs. It's a beast. The Klipsch speakers weigh 10 times the amount of my old surround speakers. The speakers and receiver are very well made. I was extremely skeptical mainly because of the price point. However, I had a good experience with Klipsch computer speakers in the past so I figured let's give them a try. For a thousand bucks I really didn't expect the quality to be so good. I figured it would be sufficient, but lacking power or maybe get distorted at high volumes. This system is crystal clear at intense volumes. The down firing sub sounds great. It puts out plenty of sub frequency and is quiet when it's supposed to be. Stop hesitating. Buy this setup now. You won't be let down.12-4-19 UPDATE:I was pretty happy with that Klipsch Theater pack. However, it just seemed as though something was missing. It needed more power and as good as the speakers sounded for thr money... I decided to return them. They took them back no problem. I broke down and bought the Klipsch RF-7 IIIs and a Klipsch 450C center speaker. I added an Emotiva 275 watts/channel amplifier to push my 3 channel setup and replaced the pioneer reciever with an Onkyo TX 920 11 channel @ 135/watts per channel (2 channels driven) receiver to drive my surround. I bought an SVS 12" 600 watt sub and two SVS Prime satellites for the rear surround. I bought some cheap, but good, ceiling speakers and installed four of those in my ceiling for Atmos. I bought a new 65" Sony TV that supports Atmos. Now that you're familiar with my setup I'll get into the details. WOW!! Don't skimp on speakers. Speakers are everything. Put all your money into decent speakers even if you have to buy them one at a time. The RF7 IIIs are crystal clear with imaging that is out of this world. Listening in stereo to include my subwoofer they make me feel as though I'm at a live concert. I didn't spring for the $1800 Klipsch center that pairs with the RF7 IIIs, but I must say, I am extremely happy with my 450. I'm a little curious to see how much the sound improves for another 1000+ bucks. As for movies, when I play Mad Max Fury Road in my full Dolby Atmos setup, I won't lie, I tear up a little. I honestly get choked up it sounds so good. I watched Roger Waters new movie at reference levels and was weeping like a baby. That's how good my system sounds. My advice: If you want a full setup and don't require a stereo system that literally makes you weep, this system sounds great. If you want to weep with childlike emotion at your favorite songs and movies, spend more.

Impressive sound for such a little system
I bought the "Klipsch Reference Theater Pack 5.1 Surround Sound System Bundle with Pioneer VSX-LX303 9.2-Channel 4k Ultra HD Network A/V Receiver" bundle for around a grand, which is a steal considering that the sound system is about a grand on its own, and the receiver is about 800$ on its own. I don't know much about music systems so wiring it was a bit tedious. I don't know if it's standard or not, but the wires going into the back of the speakers seem ill-designed (and why i'm giving this four stars instead of five). They are just sitting there, are prone to moving, and can easily fall out. I actually had to tape them. But again, I'm not sure if that's expected or not, because I've never actually had wired speakers like this before. Whether or not it's standard though, it's annoying to deal with, and I would expect the wires to have some kind of mechanism to hold them in place for a system worth a grand!Just in case anyone is wondering, the wires needed for this should be 18g at least, and the speakers are 8 ohms, which is interesting because the receiver supports either 4 or 6, but I think that's okay...As far as I can tell, the sound quality seems really good, I can hear individual instruments really clearly, there seems to be a lot of depth. Music sounds great, movies sound great, just really impressive for such little speakers, and the bass buuuumps. I have to turn it way down in my little apartment, it's barely on, and it's still packing quite a punch. The sound can get so loud, that a normal range is -15 for my place, I can't even imagine how loud it must be at the higher positive ranges :)Super happy with this purchase! Definitely recommend.

Great system with patience
Have patience. This is a great sound system once you tweak it input by input (which is kinda fun). The auto adjustment with microphone MACC sets distances well but defaults to an extremely quiet volume. The result I got was that it was overly cautious and treating me as a luddite with grandparent gloves. It has the horsepower. It has the output. The default helping-hand software just wants to play it a bit too safe. As a former audio engineer, I get it, keep gain low, let the user ramp up the volume. But no one using this will need that delicate touch, and it stinks that there’s no way (I’ve found) to ramp up speaker output across all inputs at once. So, I’ve done it one input at a time. I have the patience for it because the system sounds amazing once you set it to your ear’s liking. Equalization is across all channels from what I can tell. It’ll take You some effort to find a sound field (in 5.1) that will balance properly, but that part is easy to play with the settings, and if you stick with it, you will be rewarded.I spent about an hour overall (after initial setup) playing with ARC, speaker output by channel, soundfield, and EQ using PS4 pro, Xbox One X, and a popular cheap turntable testing both the Pioneer phono input and built in turntable phono input (no difference that I could tell) and have found this system immensely satisfying to the ears.In summary: reward yourself. Spend a little more than that cheaper 5.1 system (keeping in mind that with this you can start at 5.1, have amazing speakers out of the box, and add on), spend some time with it to set it to your liking, and you can make it sing.

Amazing Sound In a Perfect Package
I am using this system at my computer, to take the place of some years old and blown out Klipsch Promedia 4.1 speakers. It takes some time to set everything up, and get it all working, some patience with multi zone set up...…. but then.... tears of musical joy. It sounds simply amazing. Just in time for Fear Inoculum. Can't wait. If you are shopping, and thinking, and comparing, like I did...… I say go for it..... you will be glad you did.
