Genuine Assembly Men's Crew Neck Knit Sweater with Elbow Patch, Round Neck Sweater, Summer Spring Knitwear, Pullover GAM-12

I have no experience with any other Genuine Assembly clothing items so I really had zero expectations about the Crew Neck Knit Sweater w/ Elbow Patches but after receiving and using this sweater, I'm a fan!So, first things first, the sweater I received has the elbow patches sewn on the correct side of the arms (see another review about this slightly hilarious mistake)!My first impression of this sweater is that it looks better in person than in the product pictures. The grey sewing accents on the front of the neckline and around the grey elbow patches add just the right touch of color to set the sweater off. The elbow patches look fine too and aren't really noticeable when wearing the sweater.The best thing about this sweater is most definitely the comfort. The Cotton used here is extremely soft and feels great and no undershirt is required. Fitment is just right too. I received a size large and it's the perfect fit - not too baggy or small on my frame.Great sweater, recommended!

This is a nice casual sweater that fits me well. I guess I got a well sewn version because the elbow patches are in the right spot, where as some reviewers experienced some pretty bizarre elbow pad placements. It is accented with a V near the neck and elbow pads in an effort to give it some chic appeal. I think it gives it a casual appeal but defiantly not a classy or vintage look. It is a nice change up for a casual sweater with jeans. I have some Genuine Assembly jeans also and so far all of their clothing has been well made. I can't give it 5 stars though because I have no idea of the price and, hence, no idea if this sweater is a good value.

A nice lightweight, tight knit sweater. It’s sized well, and the large fit me well at 5’10” and 184lbs. The elbow patches are a bit high up on the arm and not centered on the elbow, but if you look at the listing pics, you can see that’s how they’re designed. The sweater is long enough that you will cover your back when bending over, and not show skin. The cuffs and neck are not prone to stretching out and it held up fine in the wash, and I dried it flat. Made in Bangladesh and no odd odors even when just taken out of the box.

I don't know what the designers were thinking. I've never seen a regular sweater with elbow patches. Usually, that's a cardigan. These patches weren't the traditional suede, but just gray fabric. Hmmm. They were also huge and too much of a focal point. They didn't hit me anywhere near my elbows.The "v-neck" was fake. It was sewn in to look layered. I can't imagine the purpose for that. It fit great, but I didn't like the look.

The sweater has a round collar, but attempts to appear like a V-neck with a stitched design at the neck area. The sweater also has ludicrously large gray patches on both elbows made of sweatshirt material that are unflattering. It would have been better if the sweater was solid black without this sleeve design. The material is thin.This is an ok sweater that can be dressed up or down, but the sleeve design ruins the look.

This is a thin 100% cotton knit sweater true to size. It keeps one warm. However, the one big flaw is that the elbow patches are sewn in the front! The white oval patches on a black background are quite obvious. The patches are white knit fabric like the sweater itself and sewn on tightly, so that removing them (and sewing them in the back) would be too risky.Made in Bangladesh (where workers don't know front from back).

Stylish, medium thickness crew neck black knit sweater. This one utilizes a tight weave giving the sweater a dense feel to it without being overly thick. The sweater itself has some nice details to it including ribbed trims, a subtle "v" stitched at the throat in contrasting thread and patch elbows. Looks good worn on its own with a pair of jeans or as a middle layer beneath a coat.

This is a good looking man’s pullover sweater. It is a basic black with a few fashion accents that set it apart from the mundane. It has a small accent at the neckline that draws the eye. Plus it has elbow patches. Now that’s cool. This is a versatile piece for your man’s wardrobe. 100% cotton means that it will wear well, launder well, and will not cause allergies or rashes.
