Vitality SAMeLQ 425 Chewable Tablets 60 ct

Our beloved dog, Abby, was diagnosed with a 'tired liver.' She simply needed a supplement to give her liver a boost. Abby is almost 14 years old, 100 pounds and a Labrador/mixed breed. It was getting difficult for her to get up off of the floor and we were concerned. We didn't make the connection between her liver contributing to her energy level...Instead, with her being older, we were looking at her hips and joints. These tablets are AMAZING! I can tell you that they have definitely helped Abby with feeling better. We have seen remarkable improvement almost instantly. She gets one tablet in the morning, one hour before breakfast and the the same before her evening meal. You should know that they do produce soft stool. I had to research that because we had not changed her dog food but her stool changed. She seems to go a bit more frequently, but nothing life altering. The price we paid online is better than what we paid at the veterinarians office. Though expensive, they work and we are pleased. I know for certain they are effective, because when we stopped for a week, there was a decline in her mobility/energy level. Progress was made when we started again. It's truly an answer to our prayers.

The vet ordered this product for my dog because of another medication he is taking for his arthritis. Bought the product on Amazon because I was able to get 60 tablets for the same price as 30 tablets at the vet's pharmacy.The product was necessary for my dog's health and I was glad I was able to get a good deal on Amazon.

I got this for my dog who had high liver enzyme count. Unfortunately this product did not help his count to go down in a month. It was pretty costly for a month supply, and I had to wrap it in cheese or something else for my dog to take it. It's a large pill so it's not easy (or comfortable for the dog) to shove it down their throat...and because it's not "flavored" for their liking either - it was a pain to give. Also, because it has to be given an hour before they eat - that made it more difficult for meal time. Many times I'd come home from work and feed my dog. But instead, I had to come home give him this pill (somehow) then make him wait an hour for his dinner. He had that look in his eye that he thought he was being punished for not getting his dinner as he was used to. I'm sure it works for some dogs and some situations, but did not help with my dog or my situation.

My dogs vet suggested it. I don't feel I can give an accurate rating untilblood work is repeated. I think it is being used as a precaution. If bloodwork is good then I would give it a 5 star.

I have a small dog, Nick, and he needs to take one SAMe-225 pill daily. SAMe does not taste good and the 225 pill is very large so I had to cut the pill in pieces - I know SAMe is not supposed to be taken whole but this is the only way Nick would take it. Since there are two pieces, Nick has to take two pieces of SAMe to get his daily dosage.The SAMe-425 is slightly larger than the 225. I cut the 425 pill in half and the pill is small enough that Nick will take half of the 425 pill in one dosage... so instead of feeding Nick two pieces, I only have to feed him one piece.I know that 425/2 = 212.5 and not 225 but that is okay, Nick feels great!!Also, with the 425, the cost/day is lower than with 225.

I have used this product for a few months for my Siberian Husky. He is doing well and recently had surgery on his liver to remove a tumor. He has been on a quality diet with SAMe and Dinovite added to help is health. He is doing very well and I attribute his healthto a good diet .

Last August, my dog's blood work/ Lab results showed her liver function to be out of the normal range(on the high side) ... I have had her on SAMe supplements since last August. I was giving her three different Mg strengths to make daily 2 per-day doses. I was so glad to see the SAdenosyl 425 (SAMe) with Milk Thistle for Large Dogs. It's easier for me .. not having to shop for more than one Mg and not having to remember the right dosage at the right time every day and knowing that it is formulated especially for dogs is GREAT! One daily dose and we're done. Her Bile Acids Lab results, two days ago, were normal. The Vet says I can continue to give her SAMe. THANKS SOGEVAL!P.S. I must say, though, it is quiet expensive.
