We used to line up to buy these in Southhampton
Years ago when I was in a summer share house in the Hamptons, we'd always stop for goodies at Kathleen's, which is the original of what is now called Tate's. They are the same wonderful cookie. My only problem is that my local Westside Market is often out of the walnut/chocolate chip, which are my favorites. Lots of just chocolate chips---but I guess they're trying to avoid nut allergies. I love these and can go through a bag in one afternoon!!
