My 2 year old loves this book! This book is great for boys who love garbage trucks. It is also super catchy.

Fun book to read and turn pages!
Great story, that little kids under 2 love to read! The pages are really easy to turn so your little one can participate along the way!

Dump it in, Smash it down!! え？？？
このお話を知ったきっかけは、スカラスティック社のビデオ"Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!"でした。私の3歳の息子と2歳の娘が大好きで、いつもこのお話を暗唱していたし、絵がかわいいと思って購入しました。が・・・正直、かなりがっかり。文章やお話自体はリズミカルで繰り返しも多く教育的ですが、絵を見ただけではお話がわかりにくく、あまり英語に触れていないお子様やママたちにはなかなか魅力が伝わりにくいです。物がいいだけに、個人的にはすごくショックを受けました。ゴミ収集車の運転手、ギャリーさんが町中を回ってごみを回収していくお話です。ギャリーさんのおかげで町中はきれいになりましたが、後もう一つだけきれいにしなければならないものが残っています。それは・・・？？学校・公園・ピザ屋・消防署・病院などや、助動詞(In, Bihind, next to、By）などが紹介できます。が、絵を見ただけでは解らないのでとても残念に思います。私は児童英会話講師をしていますが、生徒さんに紹介するときは段ボール紙やトラックと人形を使ってデモンストレーションしながら繰り返しの部分はみんなで手をたたきながらラップ調に読んで楽しみます。英語に親しんでいる子なら3歳でも十分に理解できますが、そうでない場合は小学校低学年くらいが適当かと思います。すごく良いおもしろいお話なのですが・・・。本だけではなかなか解りにくいので・・・・。

My friend’s son, who is 3, loved this book. He loves finding the mice in each picture! Very cute!

2 year old loves it
Gave it to my 2 year old nephew. He loves it. He isn't into the book that much, but is having lots of fun with the truck. Well, he loves ALL trucks!
