Grizzly Industrial H7465-8" x 10' Heavy-Duty Wire Reinforced Hose

Purchased the DR premier last year and the hose broke after storing one winter. This how is very study compared to it, very stretchy and durable!

This 8" grizzly vacuum hose is lighter duty than the DR leaf vac hose it's replacing. The DR hose is so stiff that while articulating in 50 deg weather it splits. It was only 3 years old . The Grizzly hose is longer and softer and worked great. However 2 hours of use is not enough to address durability. Though, I'm confident it will continue to perform well because it is more flexible.

Works as it should.

Perfect for replacement of the DR Lawn and Leaf Vac suction hose. Very tight fit so have to work the clamps on, but it doesn't slide off as the original did. 10 ft is a little longer than the original, but an extra bungee cord on the support hanger and it works fine.

This item was the correct diameter and length as specified online. It was also very flexible which I needed for my application. The quality of this hose was substandard for the intended purpose, that is, for a vacuum application, specifically, a leaf vacuum system. I was immediately concerned when I observed the wire around the hose was not fully embedded in the plastic hose. This proved to be a problem during hose installation as the wire would jump out of the groove on the hose (see photo of wire pulled away from hose). Once installed, the plastic hose started to crack at multiple locations during use of the hose. Initially, I thought that hose needed better support than my original hose because the hose was quite flexible. But even after properly supporting the hose between the mower and leaf vac, the hose continued to crack at various locations. See remaining three photos. I would not recommend this hose for a leaf vacuum system.

Don’t know about durability as I only recently started using this on my DR Lawn Vacuum. But it seems well made and is a fraction of the price of other hoses. I think it’s better flexibility will keep it from breaking in cold weather like the DR hoses do. The flexibility also seems to keep the hose from pulling of the lawn tractor or vacuum as the DR hoses sometimes did during sharp turns. I was to the point of giving up using my DR vacuum. The hoses only lasted maybe two season and even then only with a lot of duct tape. After one seasons these hoses look great. I speculate they will actually last longer for a fraction of the price.

It fits perfectly well and tight fits it also seems to be holding up better than expected

This hose worked on the lawn vac for 4 or 5 runs before collapsing in the middle. The metal wires wrapped around the length of the hose didn't hold up well. Ended up getting stove pipe to extend the reach of the original hose on the Cyclone rake.
