Perfect
I got hit by a car and wanted my replacement bike to be as reflective as possible without looking tacky. I purchased this white tape and the black and stretched the tape slightly as I applied it to contour it to the paint job. I got exactly the effect I wanted. In normal light, you have to get really close and look for the tape edges to see it, but in bright light, the bike lights up. The white color is more reflective than the black. The bike has been outside in hot and cold temperature extremes and so far, no peeling or other signs of wear.

Works well, thanks
I have a brown bicycle, the brown reflective tape blends in pretty well during the day and glows a reddish-brown color when the light hits it. A sometimes helpful piece of information: you can use a spray cleaner or mix your own soapy water spray with dish soap. spray it on the part you are going to stick the tape to (or most any adhesive item) then apply the tape. the soap lets you slide around the tape to position it. and helps smooth it out without getting air bubbles in it or wubbles in it. When you got it where you want it, just let it dry and it will stay put.. If you don't use the soapy water and it gets all cattywampus, or you want to remove the tape (or old tape), boil up a tea kettle of water and pour it over the tape and it will peel right off. Be careful not to scald yourself.

Not as good as 3M, but not as expensive
Not as good as the 3M tape I've bought, but it's also SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive! It reflects about 80% of the light the 3M tape does, which is still a lot, but it's so much harder to apply. It doesn't like to be reattached at all, as soon as you start to reposition the tape, it stretches out and bunches up. On a flat surface it's not a big deal, but when doing trim like I was, it's a lot harder to work with, because once it's stuck, it's stuck. With the 3M tape, you could pick it up and reposition it until it was right, and then press to make it stick permanently. That being said, I'll be happy to order another roll of this the next time I need a wide reflective stripe, I'll make sure I use a spray solution to make sure it lines up right, and I'll be super happy.

Reflective Tape (Green, 2 inch x 10 ft)
I was and continue to be very impressed by just how reflective and bright this stuff is. I bought this to apply to the face of the painted wood numbers on my house so they would stand out a little better. I tried the flashlight in a dark room pointed at the roll when I first got it but I was not impressed at all but I figured it was better than painting the numbers that are on a white background green to match the house so I applied this tape to the faces of the numbers. First off the adhesive on this tape was impressive, it stuck tight to the painted wood surface, and once I rubbed it to press it down it really grabbed on. The tape was easy to work with and I had very few problems trimming it with a sheet rock knife other than the glue from the tape gumming up the knife, did I mention how well this stuff sticks. After the sun went down I went outside and tried a flashlight again, this stuff is quite reflective when it is off the roll and flat, my numbers looked like they were back-lit. I have also noticed that on an overcast day when opening my car door in the driveway a fair distance from the house number the faint reflection of sunlight that doesn't even cast a shadow was enough to make the numbers shine. Overall I'm happy I decided to try this stuff, I was not disappointed. Facts about what I bought it was was Reflective Tape (Green, 2 inch x 10 ft), it came rolled around a center core like a roll of tape, it appears to be a heavy clear vinyl with reflective media and color on one side and adhesive on the other, the entire roll is backed with paper making it easy to test fit pieces before sticking them down, the adhesive is quite strong and attached itself well to the painted wood surface I was working with. A trick I used to attach this stuff was that after I applied the tape I rubbed the face of it with the slick side of the piece of backing paper I had just removed from the back of it, this provided a clean, smooth tool to rub the tape down with without damaging it.

This tape WORKS. Don’t be fooled by those saying it’s fails!
Talk about stealth.I have a deep dark Ford and have wanted to put reflective tape on for when I must cover things in the field. I added these 3” strips on the rear corners of an old Expedition. It truly does glow a warm shade of grey when light hits. The tape works, has held through automatic car washes and I’m thrilled at how it blends in to the dark or black trim of the truck. I also have conspicuity DOT-C2 silver but it’s a little too bright for the dark silver truck color. The C2 tape is the horizontal and this tape is on that bertical back top panel. Light is a 60w incandescent. First frame is without the reflection and then when the lamp is near the camera. Truly impressive.

Excellent Directional Reflection without being obvious in daylight
My wife has an expensive early modern Sears mailbox that always seems to be at risk. I wanted to brighten it up without impacting her sense of style. As you can see - the black tape blends right in with the glossy black finish of the box. If you don't look close - you don't even see it. When headlights or our across the street neighbors back-up lights hit it it lights up like Christmas time. Interestingly, you have to be right behind the beam to see the effect. 10 digress left or right and it diapers again. I live in the deep South, we'll see how it stands up to the hot sun in the summer. Anyway - my wife is very pleased!

After a year of installation, still good
I put this on a car with black paint. Here in VA, it get's tropical hot (Not Lunar HOT like in say Phoenix, AZ). The tape has held up well. During the day, my tape job design is very subtle, being black on black. At night, in the headlight beams of motorists, the car lights up with the design in a very cool way. The tape has held up well for over a year now.
