I bougt this door bottom to replace the one I had on my Stanley steel door. It was an exact match!

I have no idea who made my front door. It needed new weatherstripping so I removed the old one and it looked exactly like thisso I ordered one. Fit perfect, just a little trimming with scissors to make it fit . I put a few dabs of silicone caulk to "glue" it in place.Did NOT need to remove door . Simple job, fits and works perfectly. Bottom line, remove the old one, if it looks and measures like this one then buy it, if your door doesn't have the grooves or they measure different DO NOT buy it.

This sweep seals much better than the one I installed about 2 years ago made by MD. The old one had torn and was dangling from the door. Unsightly, let alone ineffective. This sweep installed in the door just fine, though the door has to be removed. The bulb on the exterior side is not hollow as I had anticipated, it has a foam core. This is what enhances the sealing. However, I did have to lower the adjustable sill of the door to get the door to work. In my case this turned into a bit of an ordeal as it hadn't been adjusted since Democrats and Republicans could compromise. This done, the door still is snug and takes a bit of a tug/push to initiate opening it. Interested to see if this one lasts or tears apart with use. As well as it seals, and considering the time and effort it took to install and the cost, I would be OK with a 3-4 year replacement cycle. At this juncture, it gets 4 stars.

Fit metal Stanley door properly. Easy to install if you take the door off and press or hammer lightly to bottom of door using a mallet. Sealing strips/flaps began to tear off after a couple of months, however it has a tight fit between the door bottom and threshold in my case, which might not be the same for you.

The items (purchased two of them) measured exactly what I needed to replace the old one. The Door Bottom goes in perfectly. But will not stay in place. I haven’t decided if I should use staples or use an adhesive to keep it in place. I purchased two of them will be returning the unused item. I wouldn’t recommend.

Excellent weather stripping! Easy to install, well made. The hard part was taking the door down, and putting the door back. This weather stripping was easy to install, easy to measure and cut. I have ordered more for other doors in my house.

The product was well-made, a very good value. It's too bad it didn't fit our door! We weren't sure of the 'brand' of our door, looked at the basic construction and thought it might work. The design is similar, so be careful and measure the distance you need between the ridges that must match up to the notches in the bottom of the door. We had to return it and ended up paying more for a generic type that isn't as attractive (it boots the bottom of the door) but the company accepted the return and we would order from them again!

I did have a 4 star rating for this but since I never wrote a review and had trouble going any further that time I did give it a 4 star I'm kind of glad it came up again. It was a little longer than the door but gave plenty of Room to trim it which some people don't even like to do that but better to get your full length for the actual door then be short and still have a gap of air coming in. This thing didn't even make it through one season and the bottom is playing out like whiskers and it is the correct door "fin". It's an older door so you can't get the actual one made for way back when but this is my 2nd 1 neither lasted a full season I checked the threshold height and everything else there's no excuse for it just poorly made for the price I wouldn't do it again that's $20 a year and it doesn't even make it through the whole season so not only do you not keep the cold North wind off the front door you can't keep the heat index out either. Badd badd choice I'll have to go back to the drawing board because it's common for another Winter and I need to be prepared but I will not be choosing this one again

I gave the review below in early September. Now it’s October 1 and the weatherstrip has torn already. This product is cheap junk. Look for another product.———————————————————The width and length dimensions were good and no cutting was required on my 36 inch door. That said, the plastic holding ridges on the weatherstripping did not securely attach the strip into the slots on the bottom of the door. I had to apply wood screws through the bottom of the strip into the underside of the door to get a proper attachment. Be careful to use screws that are small enough to fit between the rubber weatherstrip fins so that fins are not distorted. The end result is that I managed to get a good seal which will keep the cold and moisture out.As for durability of the product? The jury is still out on that because I just installed it today.

I couldn't find anything similar in my local bricks and mortar stores, and calling the door manufacturer (Masonite, in case you were curious) to ask where I could find a replacement bottom seal was an exercise in frustration. Once again, a quick search of Amazon yielded this beauty, and after cutting it down to the proper length (which was easy with a hacksaw), the installation took mere seconds. The hardest part was taking the door off the hinges. Now I have a nice new weather seal heading in to the cold winter months.

Exactly what i was looking for my style of door. No one else seemed to have this style. great product
