How to Sketchnote: A Step-by-Step Manual for Teachers and Students

Maybe I’m missing the point? I was hoping for actual help on how to use in the classroom. Things like on what topics? Do students sketch when they are working independently? How does this help students to be able to look back and know what they meant. Instead it was literal step by step of “this is shading, these are stick people, these are letters”Also so much reference to things online or other books.

Underwhelming. 50 pages of emojis and about 10 pages of alphabets in different fonts. Printed in black and white no less, on dishwater paper. Not a single 3D sketch. I’m returning it

This book is definitely worth buying multiple copies. I have purchased four (so far) to give to fellow educators wanting a great resource for incorporating sketchnoting into their classrooms. This book is IT! It has just enough regarding "what is sketchnoting" with a focus on specific activities to use in the classroom. What I really love is that each of the activities can easily be embellished by creative educators to apply to specific subject standards. So, don't only get one copy of this book for yourself. Buy more and give them as gifts or door prizes.

I wanted to make my classroom anchor charts more engaging, but I could barely draw a stick figure. After I purchased this book, I realized how simple it is to sketch. Also, I shared my professional notes (complete with sketches, arrows, doodles...) with my students, and they began to organize their notes differently! A must have for any teacher!

This book is exactly what I needed as a beginner to sketch noting! It gives easy to follow activities to get started. I also love the abundance of sketches to practice.

I liked how the simple structure of the lessons made it easy to understand sketchnoting. The book even helped me to think about lesson applications in my MS ELA classroom. Yes you might have to create something, but we all usually adapt TPT materials also.Can't wait for my updated version to arrive and dive deeper...

I love this book! It has been inspiring me to sketchnote in meetings, to reflect, and to do some strategic planning. Ive found the section on doodling warm ups and helping others to get sketch noting easy to follow. So easy in fact I’ve encouraged a bunch of colleagues to start and we now regularly discuss our techniques. A great book that has built my confidence to start enjoying drawing again in a meaningful way. I also find the sketch noting to be a calming activity for my busy mind. This book and the sketchnote technique has helped me sort through career change decisions and be clearer in articulating my next big 'life' step This would be a great present for anyone who wants to teach themselves a new skill.

This is a great book for anyone that Want to start their journey in Sketchnoting! I particularly like the fact that there are lots of examples of different types of doodles and steps in how to create simple doodles. I can't wait to get Sketchnoting!

Love it and very easy to follow

Sono rimasta molto delusa dall'acquisto di questo libro infatti ho richiesto il reso. Ritengo ci siano libri su questo argomento, che sostengo moltissimo, che valgono molto di piu la pena di essere aquistati. Di questo libri trovo iadeguato soprattutto il prezzo, decisamente esagerato rispetto a quanto offre.
