Functional but can be made better
In this rather long review I am going to give some ideas for improvements and modifications so the buyer can get the results they need. I initially used the shower as it came out of the box, but found it to be less than perfect. I’ve been using this for over a year and have a lot of easy improvements to make it work. If you are like myself or are caring for someone, and have limited options, this is the only solution for an affordable price, that I have seen.Let’s start with what is in the box and I’ll describe and comment as I go along. Also I am going in decreasing order of my satisfaction.First there is the pan, it’s made of thick vinyl, has six inch high sides that are collapsible. This is where the manufacturer has something special. I have read the comments and people are correct that much of the shower could be bought somewhere else and probably for less. However the pan is the exception. People have said that it is difficult to enter with a rolling shower chair with small casters. Yes it is, however I have been doing it all this time with my 4’10” attendant. In other words, not impossible. I would add that we have been careful to bend the pan walls inwards towards the center of the pan when entering and exiting, so as not to damage the vinyl. Also there are metal eyelets in all four corners and we use these to hang the pan when not in use.Second is the curtain assembly. Yes they are flimsy pvc and the curtains are quite thin, as others have written. I view this as positive because they are very light weight and easy to move about. The curtains when assembled are in two identical sections. They consist of a long side and a short side. Think of two L’s. The L’s are hinged in the center, and have pop-in clamps at their ends. All of this enables one side to swing open for entering. When these L’s are assembled together for the shower it forms a fairly sturdy rectangle. The curtain rings are of an open design, not a complete circle. Once again I view it as a positive, for it allows for easy lowering of the curtain in a spot to aid someone in reaching for anything they may need outside the shower.Third the shower head/hose. It’s like what you would find in an RV, it doesn’t flow much and pretty soon the holes are plugged and it’s spraying off in all directions. The hose is 5 feet so your water source needs to be real close. The quick connect is problematic as well. If you want to use it in a bathroom then the aerator in the sink may be too small. If it’s the diameter of a dime then you will need a converter. Strangely the small aerator is metric, nonetheless I found one at Home Depot. I took the parts in and they found it for me. The shower head has a shutoff but it’s stiff and hard to use. There are some pictures of it on Amazon.Lastly the pump. What the hell were they thinking?!?! and where do I begin? How about the fact that they supplied a GFCI breaker with it. It’s not water resistant at all, and a great way to to have a bad day. If you have ever had your life saved by a GFCI then you know it hurts. Look at the pictures in the description, it’s really close to the pan, any errant water or having the curtains misplaced and ZAP! In my instance there was no room, it had to be no more than 2 inches from the pan. The intake hose is not supplied with a proper pick up. The hose is just meant to be left lying on the floor with the opening a ninety degree angle to the pan which leaves a lot of water, then you need to grab the hose and use it like a vacuum. I looked around online and I figure this pump was not cheap, I saw similar models from the same manufacturer for $200, maybe they bought a discontinued model for a discount. Admittedly it was capable of pumping the water from the RV shower head, although it had a filter that kept getting plugged. Ya, that pump, boy, really bad.But don’t despair, I have solutions. First that dang pump. This pump, link below, is meant to be completely submerged in water, it is properly designed to pump almost all the water out without you having to even touch it. Please! just for safety continue to use GFCI.Superior Pump 91025 1/5 HP Thermoplastic Submersible Utility Pump with 10-Foot Cord https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000X07GMW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_4K4TEbKKZ1C9BSo then the shower head needs to be done away with as well. The linked head is what I have been using, it’s the cheapest but you can check out others that have a shutoff. Easy to use and full flow. Don’t worry the pump will handle it.Nosame Shower,High Pressure Handheld Shower Head with ON/Off Pause Switch 3-Settings Water Saving Showerhead, Chrome Finish Bathroom Shower Accessorie https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KD1J4VY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_8S4TEb3SAVZ25Then you will need a shower hose. This is 9 feet and they have longer as well.HOMEIDEAS 118-Inch(3m) Shower Hose 304 Stainless Steel Extra Long Shower Hose Replacement Handheld Shower Head Hose Extension https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NA9RBAL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_kX4TEb6CRZQ1YThe pump will need an outlet hose as well.Camco 10ft TastePURE Drinking Water Hose - Lead and BPA Free, Reinforced for Maximum Kink Resistance 1/2"Inner Diameter (22743) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0006JLSNI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Q04TEbE9F49VWThe total is $86.52 in the cart as I write. I use the portable shower in the bathroom next to the tub, with this setup I have a full pressure shower and don’t struggle. The waste water drains into the tub and the hose comes over from the shower in the tub.A few things worth mentioning. The amazon pump does acquire an odor, like the back of a plumbers van. The hose should be secured where it drains, if you turn on the pump with the pan full the hose will dance and squirm wildly from the pressure. You can pump the water over the fence into your neighbors if you want. I just say that if you are using it a long way from the drain, just buy a longer outlet hose. That leads to another consideration, where are you going to use the shower, and for that matter for whom. Some people might be happy with the trickle of the original hose/shower head. The original pump would drain the shower but leave a lot inside. This might make less of a difference to a person who is ambulatory, because they step out and bring less water with them. If you are a long ways from your water source then a trip to Home Depot for the correct length garden hose and some fittings might get it done. I saw so many angry pissed off reviews. I know why, people were really wanting something that they could use and ended up disappointed and disheartened. If you are in a difficult situation you are looking for help and not a headache. So maybe I’ve been of some service. I think this product has value, I used it out of the box successfully more or less, and as for the price, anything marketed as disabled or handicapped gets marked up triple, even if it’s a bunch of cleverly arranged PVC and vinyl.A couple things I forgot. If your floor is uneven or the bottom of the pan is wrinkled then the water stays in one spot. Whichever pump you are using, you can pick up and slant the pan so the water runs to the pump. This helps when you are finished, that way you are not dealing with a lot of water in the pan. The other thing is don’t store the curtains folded closed until they are dry, otherwise mildew can form easily. Also the curtains can be overlapped in the corners where they join for a more water tight fit. It’s hard to explain exactly, it would help if I took a picture, but the open ring curtain rings makes it easy. Lastly curtain poles outside the pan, the curtains themselves go inside.GOOD LUCK!

Four Stars
Quality is good... but I think this item is little overpriced

This product is almost a scam
Very cheap flimsy not worth $900 not even worth $200. Does not allow for a wheelchair to roll into. The description on Amazon's website is a lot of false statements. I would recommend staying away from this product. Highly overpriced and very cheap in quality. Amazon is taking advantage of people who need medical items by overpricing them and this is a prime example. I feel like I got ripped off.

Worth Every Penny
My wife and I love this shower. We have a small townhouse with no downstairs bathroom and my elderly father in law can no longer walk up the stairs. Fits in the kitchen close to the sink. The shower head is easy to install onto the faucet once you get the hang of it (took me awhile to figure out that the hose can disconnect from the connector- just pull the white ring down and disconnect then screw on the same way as an aerator). The water pump works great to remove most of the water then you can just pick up the shower pan and dump the rest in the sink. Haven't bothered to assemble the curtain and railings but I imagine they would help keep more of the water from getting on the floss (there is water on the floor afterwards but a towel or a rag mop takes care of that quickly). This item has been essential to Dad's care and comfort and was a lot cheaper than some of the other products out there. Completely happy with the purchase.

Gets the job done
Very flimsy for the price. But when in need you do what you need to, it does get the job done. Great idea if it was made sturdier.

Shower
This is a good idea but grossly overpriced for the quality of the material. Shower curtain is made of tissue paper. For the $600. I would expect better quality.

Well-worth the money is you have a loved one living with you that cannot got to an upstairs bathroom for a shower, It works very well and is not too much of a hassle to get set up each week.

Lifesaver that's still a hassle to use
The need to have a shower which can be used by a person in a wheelchair is one of those things that you sort of have to have. Looking at the options we decided to try this portable shower until our remodel of the full shower could be completed. I am SOOOOO glad we did as the remodel has stretched out for 3 weeks. That being said, this is still a pain to use, pulling it out and setting it up each day, then securing it when finished. We don't have the room to leave it set up 24/7.
