Impossible to install without de-soldering wires
The product itself is decent enough, however to install it you must free one of the headphone drivers completely from the main unit. That involves de-soldering twelve tiny stranded wires (QC35) that collectively make up the bridging cable that connects the two drivers. The headband is then threaded through this bridging cable and the metal headband frame, and the wires re-soldered.Unfortunately, the stranded wires do not have a sheath and you can barely tell them apart even though they are color coded. The pads they are soldered onto are also very close to each other.You'd need to be fairly skilled at soldering/de-soldering to accomplish this. Bose could have made their headphones a little most user serviceable by putting a nano JST connector on the bridging cable right in the middle of the headband.All the other headband replacements are zippered sheaths and don't look as nice. You'd think someone would've figured out how to make a 2 piece headband that would simply fit over the headband frame and snap together in place.

Read this before purchasing
Keep in mind you have to completely disassemble your bose headphones and then resolder the wires to install this. I would check out a video before purchasing

Do not buy this if you are not sure of what you will do
Before buying this, consider that you will need to dismantle your headphones completely. This is not easy to install, you will have to remove one of the speakers to place the headband in the proper place. If you tear down the head band that you have, there is no going back, know what you are doing before buying this.

Only if you know how to solder!
You have to cut the headphone wires and resolder uninstall this band. I was wanting to replace the band without using an aftermarket wrap around with velcro that I felt did not look the best but I do not want to disassemble and start cutting wires. Because of this, I have not installed this band.

Very easy to replace!
I had purchased another one without the zipper and it was just too hard to replace and had to return. This one I replaced like in 7 mins or less
