Head side, i use a 6 jaw, you can still check the run out on both sides.

Which process is used to attach the hardened steel bar ends to the aluminum bar?

Hello, The bar ends are threaded into the bar with Loctite. After assembly, the ends are OD ground to finish size. Kind Regards,
