The Z was Zapped

I looooved this book growing up. It’s so beautiful. Little bummed it came slightly banged up though :(

The book is in good condition. Highly recommend this book for for "story starter ideas, creative writing in the classroom

Did not like layout of the book and my book came slightly damaged.

The illustrations are incredible & the ability for the reader to guess what is happening in the picture before reading what is happening is ever so clever.

The drawings in this book are incredible. They're memorable, wonderfully clever, and a fantastic way to reinforce the ABCs. My children and grandchildren kept asking to read this book over and over.It even looks great on the coffee table with books about Remington, John Fielder's photos, and travel tomes loaded with pictures of other countries.

Love this book, and have been a Chris Van Allsburg fan since I was a kid. Mom won't give me back my my signed copies, so I guess they're not mine after all. I've purchased them all over again... and maybe that's for the best, because our twins can be hard on equipment.

The scenes and descriptions are wonderful, but the publisher made an incredibly stupid mistake: the text for each letter appears on the next page (after the drawing), so that you cannot read the "stories" along with the pictures that go with them. This glaring example of unthinking layout should have been caught before this edition went to press.
