Can you plant these straight in the ground?

Yes, but you need to soak the roots first. There will be instructions in the bag with them I should think. If not, soak the roots for a couple of hours then put them in the ground when it is warm and NOT before a frost. When you plant them make sure the head of the plant in not under the soil or it will rot. Then water them well and then add some tomato feed after 3 days. I add mulch by putting straw all around them as it deters slugs and snails as they don't really like it. Straw will also keep the soil moist and warm and stop the fruit from sitting on the ground and rotting. Hope that helps

If I plant this bare roots will It give strawberries this summer?

If you rehydrate them for 24 hours in a bowl or bucket of water. Then plant them, they should do. They'll just be a bit later in the season. Mine have got strawberries on now.
