It's really hard to tell from the internet what you are going to get if you buy one of these license plates. Will it be a thin piece of metal with text painted on it, or will it just be cardboard? I am glad to report this plate is a solid thick plate with the letters embossed/raised just like a real license plate. Well, just like a real old-fashioned plate. The new real license plates don't emboss the letters anymore! In any event, my state doesn't require front plates, so I put this on the front of my car and it looks awesome. I love it and it's super durable, and I can channel my inner Johnny Lawrence wherever I go (which means I make sad puppy eyes and wistfully stare a lot).

My Son in-law is a big fan of the show, purchase this for his man cave.
