The Wee Gallery Cloth Book is smaller than I expected. It’s a cute book to introduce reading to your little one. The book has cute illustrations. The pages don’t turn. The book just unfolds. It’s very small so it seems a bit pricy for the size. It’s completely cloth and soft so no worries about choking. This book is adorable!The only piece that crinkles is the little paws.The paws are only on one of the pages.There is also a long material/cleaning identification tag - this tag isn’t soft - cut it off.Babies really react well to black/images and this book has one side of black/white - with a pale blue background. The other side is very colorful.This book is well illustrated and well sewn.This is a great book to give as a gift to a newborn baby.

This book is a WONDERFUL gift for a newborn! It is very well constructed and best of all the black and white works perfectly with a new baby's eyes! (They only see black and white in the beginning!) I love how it can be opened up and laid out for the baby to see without worrying about it closing back.Very well made and not only is it beautiful, but it is just what baby's eyes like to see in the beginning! This makes it a wonderful idea to give as a gift!5 stars! Bravo!

I love almost everything about this soft bookThe art style is so incredibly cute! There’s only a few words, but they’re super cute as well.The book itself is incredibly soft and it has no sharp edges or stiff pokey threads. I think it’s also the first soft book we have that is actual machine washable, which is amazing!The only thing I don’t like about it is that it folds out straight instead of having pages like a normal book. It’s no deal breaker but I did remove a star because I would much rather have preferred a traditional book setupThe book does come nicely packaged as well, which is great for gift giving.

So the baby to whom I gifted this, his mom, and I all really liked this book. The black and white pictures are perfect for visual stimuli and also cutely drawn. There is a bit of crinkle in the paws though nothing else throughout the book. The book does fold out all the way instead of having pages. This makes it perfect for tummy time or laid out on a table or stroller bar, but it does make it hard to put away. Baby books are by nature adorable and this one is no exception. Gift it, buy it, it's a book, for a baby, no big thing. The fabric does seem durable though white may not stay white for long with a lot of use.

I think the biggest problems I have with this otherwise lovely and cute cloth book are the price and the lack of sensory experience.Advertised as "sensory-rich," it's not that at all. It is attractive to look at and cute, but that's more aesthetic than anything else, and what value does that have to a toddler? The softness is nice for them, but the text or even the illustrations don't merit the price.The market is overflowing with better options to meet any of the designs this book intends. Not recommended.

This book is so cute and I love the simple black and white illustrations. This is developmentally appropriate for babies and a great first book. I was surprised to see that this book opens into a long strip, as opposed to a traditional book. All of my other soft sided books are traditional book style, and so even though I was disappointed by this, it is also a refreshing twist. My baby enjoys holding this long book and sucking on it, etc. Not easy to store away, but fun still. I feel like the price point is a bit high as well.

Such a cute first book for any little one. It’s crinkly, easy to hold, the curiosity factor with the extended Panda arms makes this book a fun experience for an infant. The pictures generate curiosity and the flip style of the book makes the book an expressive way for any child to grab hold and look start to finish through the expressive and colorful story. The padding makes this book soft and cozy – easy to touch and clean.
