Yes, it's pricey, but it's worth it -- unless, of course, I find it somewhere else at a better price. But, oh, the taste! I've been eating this yummy pickled ginger in my noodle soups for years and have bought kizami shoga ginger (the salty pickled ginger) from my local market until I moved recently and now have to order online. This brand is so much better than what I've eaten and loved for years.This comment is in response to those people who gave this item a low feedback because it's not what they were expecting: This ginger is salty and not sweet. It is not the kind of pickled ginger you get with sushi. But if you love vinegary, spicy (not hot, though) flavorings in your noodle soup, do give it a try. It is delicious!

This USA shredded ginger tastes like pickled horseradish on steroids. The product is small 2mm square strips about 5/8" long.I first tasted it at a Rice Bowl place and it really grows on your tastes. Mostly used on sushi type foods(I don't eat those)It gives the topping snap to Hot Dogs,burgers, and especially rice,etc., thinking it is more of a "adult flavor", slightly pricey but high quality

They fit the bill for the takoyaki recipe I am trying to master. Now if only I can.

This is the strong stuff if you're not used to it. I don't pair it with lighter meals. I went through it very quickly, though, and ordered more. Same brand as my local shop but a touch cheaper and convenient.

Great product, very similar to what is served in Japan. A bit pricey but worth it if you have the monies.

I have been adding this to my japanese recipes since childhood. So glad I am able to still get this online. I’m unable to find this in a market close to me. It continues to add the favor I am use to having.
