Great charger (research laptop charger specifications people!!!!)
Usually don't write reviews but this is important. I am a best buy employee and bought an open box asus q546 laptop online from a different store than the one I work at. Had a friend who livee closer to that store pick it up for me and somehow the warehouse employees put the wrong powerbrick and charger into the box. Knowing how retail works I knew the charger I actually needed was probably a lost cause and trying to cintact that store and figure it out would just be a waste of effort and time. I instead opted to buy a charger from Amazon with the exact specifications that Asus shares online for my model laptop. 19v 6.32A and 120w output and very important 4.5mm round charger. Oddly this seens to be pretty rare as 5.5 seems to be a lot more common which is kinda bizarre but thats a whole other topic. My point being I kept reading reviews not specifically on this charger but on third party chargers as a whole where people would complain about it not fitting or working correctly and having to tilt it around inside the charging port for the loose connection to actually work. Well I have without a doubt tell you this charger fits perfectly in my laptop and as of now ive only used it once but I have no reason to believe it wont last for a very long time. I think most consumers dont do the research and just google asus laptop charger and buy what they see. Thats an assumption but after my experience of making sure I got a charger with the exact specifications that Asus provided for my laptop model (19v 6.32A 120W and 4.5mm charger hole) it seems to me thats where the bad reviews come from. Always read the reviews and if ppl say it doesnt fit or something disregard their reviews. If ppl complain about it not lasting a long time or ruining their computer and it met the exact specifications then take their reviews into consideration but overall I wouldnt completely disregard a 3 star laptop charger just because Im pretty sure a lot of people dont do their research. This works absolutely great so far and fits like a glove!
