Awesome boots
The boots fit perfect they are my wear everyday. They are light and great for Ga summers, take water proofing wax well. Hold up to constant abuse I'd easily buy again.... EASILY WITH PLEASURE. Perfect fit right outta the box very little break in time. Nice boot vents on the side as well. AAAA+++++ should really give 10 stars.Almost 1 year of extreme use I bought these boots 9/18 it's now 8/19 and have worn these boots everyday in just about every condition with the exception of cold northern winter since they are a warm weather boot. These boots are absolutely AWESOME GOOD TO GO straight outta the box, light weight with good support. When I take them out of the box I did wax/water proof them myself (2 coats). I have worn boots most of my life construction/military and the like I'm in process of buying another pair of these boots for the up coming year of Georgia heat. I current job requirements are some kind of safety to and the compiste toe is fantastic as well as super light as well as being safe. AAAAAAA++++++ A year in and I'd still give these boots 10 stars.

The only boots I need!
Finally retiring my first pair of Rangers after nearly 2 years of 9-12 hour shifts on a loading dock. Mile after mile they stayed comfortable; breathable in the hot muggy summers, with thick wool socks they stayed toasty in the winter, and they proved pretty water-resistant as well. I did replace the insoles on mine for something a little more supportive, but I'm still impressed with how comfy and lightweight these are right out of the box. Incredibly slip-resistant, even when cleaning up spills of who-knows-what. Best of all: NO ZIPPERS! Great ankle support for climbing over/under/through freight (and one less moving part to fail!).The only real "con" wasn't too bad- stitching started separating after about a year of daily use (can see in pic). I still feel like I more than got my money's worth out of these. Just bought another pair and hope to get another few good years out of them!

I love these boots
I bought these particular boots because I was looking for something budget friendly and water resistant, with a stiff toe, that would also be comfortable enough to wear on hikes and hunts. These were the first results I found that had good feedback, and didn’t have a zipper. The reason I wanted to avoid a zipper was that for all the boots that have a zipper, that is the single most often cited point of failure for the water resistance.I still highly recommend treating these with a water resistant coating, and applying it 2-3 times (waiting 24 hours between coats). I could see the two vent holes being points of failure on these, and if it is, I’ll deal with it when the time comes I suppose. These are not trail boots by any means, but I live in Florida and they are perfect for trekking through areas that would be too deep for regular trail boots, but not deep enough to require waders. They also protect further up your legs than regular trail boots, meaning you get that added protection from the stuff that likes to stab you while you’re walking. You could easily pair these with the right pants and/or gaiters to offer total leg protection from that. They honestly remind me of my combat boots from Civil Air Patrol, but I got them in the softer suede look, rather than the shiny black spit kickers we wore. I don’t recall if they had other options, but I was looking for this style anyways.I’ve only worn them a few days, and have not been able to really test their limits yet, but they are incredibly comfortable, fit perfect, and look great.I’ll update this review as I wear them a bit more and really break them in and test the water resistance, but overall I’m incredibly happy with the quality of these boots.

These are my new favorite duty boots
Better than Nils Bech, lightweight, breathable, comfortable better quality, better structure and better and more durable than the mill spec variant that is offered at the base uniform store and about $100 or better cheaper. I appreciate a good value. I appreciate the durability and I appreciate the longevity that these boots provide.

Inside shell/liner coming apart. EDIT bates took care of the issue and has sent me a new pair.
Inside of boots are coming apart. Look good on the outside junk on the inside. Iv had walmart boots last longer. I had high hopes for the bates brand. I cant say that now. EDIT... bates sent a replacement pair and has made the issue right. Excellent customer service.

Decent pair for boots
The leather separated at the seam after one year of use (as seen in photos) and I needed to add insoles (might not be needed for others, Walkfit insoles recommended). Good summer work boots, breathable and durable.

Must replace footbed inserts, otherwise good cheap boots for work.
Aggressively decent! I’m used to well worn in full grain leather 8in work boots. I’ve got nicks and redwings that are great for their respective tasks. I bought these to put miles on and as basic safety equipment for general work/construction/roofing. They’re light, the soles are grippy, the composite toes are acceptable. I’m kinda snobby about boots and I like these for what they are. Get insoles that work for you and they’re good to go. You’ll be replacing these every year if you get after it with them which should be expected at the price point. Just get them if you need a cheap and worthwhile work boot.

Comfort and protection
I'm at the end of a second summer with these boots and they are still holding up fine, an airflow grommet fell out along the inside mid sole. At first i thought the sole of the boot to be soft and inferior to comparable work boots but all the stitching and glue is holding up better than the pile of used spare/backup boots i have in the basement. Initially i found the composite toe cap is narrow compared to your standard work boot. There was no break in period. They preform great as a hot weather boot and temperature/comfort wise i wish i knew about hot weather boots sooner.

Not bad.
Lack of speed laces at the top is the only problem. Fairly symmetrical construction, sized well at a 12

These Boots Didn’t Last
The Fabric was cheap, and actually broke away and was cracking. I dot. Think the leather used was very good quality for a ‘combat’ boot.
