Definitely leak proof for cold drinks. Using with a tumble from Walmart - Ozark Trail 20 oz double wall tumbler. Fits perfectly! I put the lid on and open/close the slider a couple of times, turn cup upside down in sink to test for leaking and no leaks! I've been using for a while and it works exactly as advertised. Even gave one to my brother-in-law and he loves it. I would definitely recommend and would definitely buy again. I did notice that when I washed it and didn't dry the rubber ring sufficiently and put it in a closed cabinet, the ring got moldy. That was my fault though. When I've left it out to air-dry I've had no problems. Not sure about how leak proof it is for hot beverages. Haven't tried that yet.

You need extra lids. If you overfill the cup and coffee gets in the lid sliding mechanism, it is difficult to clean under that sliding part. Maybe the dishwasher will clean it. If not, you have to pop that sliding mechanism off the lid. Put lid on a flat surface, the side with the sliding mechanism down on the table. Sliding mechanism is closed so that liquid could not spill. Use, for example, the handle from a spoon to push on the sliding mechanism through the hole in the lid. It takes quite a bit of force. After slider and cap is clean you can pop the slider back together with the lid with a lot less force than it took to remove it.

3.75 stars - Performance-wise, it functions well as described. It fits all my tumblers, it keeps my tea/coffee too hot to drink for a while, and when closed it does not leak. My one complaint is that the sliding part of the lid is not removable, and tea or coffee gets in between the parts, stains it, and never comes clean. It’s not winning any beauty contests, and I’m a bit worried it will eventually grow mold, but it is cheap and functional. I might purchase again.

Very pleased with quality! The original lid that came with my mug broke easily if dropped (I’m rough because I carry it back & forth to workplace). This replacement is much thicker and keeps hot coffee/tea hot for most of the day. As others have said, it gets dirty under the sliding piece but I pop the tab off with a small screwdriver and can wash it thoroughly, easy peasy. The silicone gaskets are slightly stained but not an issue for me.

When the rubber gets too stained it is great to have shiny new ones on my morning coffee

Bought the tumbler, the lid becoming mildewed. It cannot be cleaned. Saw the replacement lids and video shows the slider can be removed using a key. I was worried that it will break like other reviews. I used a hammer and pen to remove the slider instead. It can be removed by using force. Don’t let the mildew and junk accumulate.
