This Softbox is designed for use with a strobe or continuous light. It comes standard with a silver reflective interior and a flush front face. The flush mounted front face provides a wider spread of light than a box with a recessed front. It's sewn in front face allows it to be set up in less than 30 seconds. Because there is no built in recessed front face, ganging the boxes together without a large black space between the boxes is possible with any number of these boxes.

Nice, affordable softbox
Sofbox is huge, which is what I wanted, but if it's your first one you may be surprised. Don't bother watching the video on how to put this thing together..literally the worst instructional video ever!Once together it's actually pretty nice, quality construction, though I do leave mine assembled.Universal speedring is a little "iffy" on my Westcott strobelite. Upon fist attempt the speedring wasn't clamped tight enough and the softbox slipped off and cracked my modeling light.

Great softbox
I got this soft box to go on my Square Perfect 300w strobe works great just cant get it on the light as much as I would like to because of the cap release button on the light but nothing wrong with the soft box it works great would buy another one.

They're solid and do the job well. You'll want to be careful if you use lightweight light stands though because they're heavy and it might be hard for a light stand to balance with one on.

it's made to mount onto the base of your light which is not the best way of using this
The soft box and speed ring does not include a mounting ring/adapter....it's made to mount onto the base of your light which is not the best way of using this. I had to change lights and could not find lights with the same base diameter as the speed ring....now it this only works with a flash.....bummer!
