It's a corker of a corker!
I thought I'd get into winemaking this year, and so far have made 8 bottles - four each of dandelion and strawberry wine. This corker has been invaluable in the last process - putting the cork in the bottle. After much pressure trying to press the cork in with my hands, I finally knuckled under and bought the corker! Using this device is so simple - you just set the handles in the upright position, set a cork in the hole, place the corker on the bottle, and press down. It places the cork into the bottle with a slight glass lip around it, so it is very firmly sealed.I am done with winemaking for this year, but am glad to have this for my future endeavors. Would buy again, but it's so well built I don't think I'll ever need to.

Works on the cheap
Did its job, but some corks stuck out a little. You gotta find the trick (applying full body weight) to get it in all the way. The only downside of this trick is that you run the risk of impaling yourself if you slip over the corker or the bottle falls over. I managed to cork 24 bottles without dieing.

Good equipment
It's a good tool, if you are new to bottling just make sure that you find instructions to boil the corks first and soften them up and then they'll go right in.

Pushes corks down too far.
This thing seats corks too deep in bottles. Unless I'm just ignorant and I can't figure out how to adjust it it doesn't look like its adjustable short of cutting a bit of the rod off. I should have purchased a floor corker I just didn't think I'd be doing enough bottles to need it all the time. It does seem to be very sturdy though but having to be so careful about how far I'm pushing down really slows down the bottling.

Junk, broken from beginning
The rubber pieces that are used to grab the neck of the bottle came in the mail ripped. 4 replacements come with it and put all 4 on and after corking 3 bottles they also ripped. Honestly it’s a pile of junk metal. Worst corker I ever bought. The pin that pushes the cork in also is not center when you use it and the cork gets pushed in from the side. It does not push the cork all the way in and puts it in crooked due to rubber grips broken and bad center pin.

Works
Works as intended the rubber on the fingers will fall off or break immediately but you can still use the product. Be careful of the piston make sure it’s centered on the cork before pushing the cork into the bottle.
