Easy to install, 5 min. Understand though, these types of shock are most prone to catastrophic failure when exposed to extreme heat or extreme cold. I try not to operate them in conditions like that, well , as much as life will allow. Good luck, these worked perfect for me on my 2009 Honda CRV EX. I highly recommend a pair of Vise grips to lock onto the opposite shock your replacing to keep the lift gate open while replacing.

Works well but as expected does require some effort to close the rear hatch due to the strength of the struts. Old struts were shot so don't know how much effort to close is normal. Had some difficulty installing because one of the connectors on one strut had become " minimally unscrewed" from the cylinder rod a couple of turns causing it to be too long to fit on the receiving stud on the vehicle. It popped off a couple times until I discovered the problem and screwed the connector all the way onto the cylinder rod. Not a big deal but, if there had been some instruction to watch out for this, it would have been a big help. A first I thought one of the struts did not fit and would have to be returned. Secondly, again no instructions, a small dab of sticky grease should be applied to each stud before installing to eliminate wear and noise during operation. All this being said, although they seemed to be a good value for the price paid, I wouldn't buy them again since they only lasted two years as opposed to the 11 years for the struts that came with the vehicle. Disappointing but you don't know until you try. Will have to shop for replacements. Update! Did not have to shop for replacements. Contacted supplier who immediately sent replacements at no charge. Super response. Hopefully, the replacements will last much longer but all I have to go on is the first set that failed.

Worked perfectly on 2011 Honda CR-V. Found a youtube video showing how to install it - it was simple.

They Have been installed for 2 weeks now, Good fit , they work great, but time will tell

I live in one of the hottest states and these, among other things, don't last very long. This set did last me about over a year and a half until I needed to buy new ones. I'd say its a pretty good buy and easy to install yourself.
