Does what it does.

I bought this for my bathroom which when I bought the house it didn't even occur to me had no towel hooks. I'm curious as to how anyone could possibly have managed to use that bathroom without towel hooks before but I digress. It's pretty solid for the price you're paying. It's got a nice finish on both the cover plate and the hooks. Each appears that they'll maintain their sheen even with the daily abuse of towels being pulled off them without much consideration. They hold large shower towels pretty well on the large part of the hook. Sometimes they slip but if you have big fluffy towels like I do, you'll get them to hang. The reason I took a star off is because the cover plate is hollow. That's normally not a big deal but the design could have been improved by including a cast spacer to go around where the screws pass through. In tightening this down to the wall, it is easy to over tighten and crush the plate down, denting it. It's a problem easily cured by a spacer. I took another star because depending how big and fluffy your towels are, it is possible that your towels will all be on top of each other. I fix this by putting a shower towel every other hook and smaller things in between but for some, I'm sure that's a deal breaker.

Not sturdy enough to hold more than one towel. Keeps popping out of the wall, towels fall to the floor. The plastic screw placers are in the drywall, now we have a bigger hole because we have had to redo it a couple times. It doesn't look as elegant as I hoped, but it doesn't look very cheap either. It's just okay. But I think you'd have to get both ends of this into a stud in the wall to support multiple towels, and since it's less than a foot in width, that's not likely. Disappointed that I'll have to scrap this and buy something else.

What's good:I love how this looks on my wall. The hooks have a good heavy feel to them, and they are secured well enough to support the weight of 4 heavy jackets. The metal backplate is hollow, but once it is screwed on, no one will notice.What's not so good:The anchors that come with the rack are small, plastic, and flimsy. I wouldn't trust them to support 4 jackets. If you want this not to rip out of your wall, the easiest way to do it is just to buy some separate, high-quality anchors, either from Amazon or the hardware store.I bought the Toggler SnapSkru anchors (#8 fastener size) off Amazon for a few dollars. These were quite sturdy and fit the coat-rack very well (might even go a size smaller...these anchors were almost too big for the job). Installation took about 10 minutes, the rack now easily supports 4 heavy coats, and best of all, it looks great!Spend a few extra cents to start including sturdy anchors with your product, and I'll happily up this review to 5 stars.

Appear to be heavy duty....good for bathroom (no rust?) or real good for heavier jackets/coats.Only issue is the screws....tiny Phillips-head. Would recommend pre-drilling, ensure you have the right, tight fitting bit/screwdriver...and GO SLOW. (otherwise you're going to be looking around the shop for a betterquality stainless screw....)

This is essentially a nice stainless steel and chrome coat rack. I am using this in the bathroom to hang a robe and have some extra room for a towel. Here is my review.1) Finish. The unit has a backplate that is brushed stainless steel and the hooks are chrome. The only negative thing about this is that the manufacturer has no protection from scratches and other things in the shipment damaging it. Mine had a few scratches, but I am going to live with them. 3 of 5 stars.2) Strength. The unit is strong enough for 4 coats. its not built like a tank, but its strong enough. 4 of 5 stars

I purchased this for my daughter as an additional bathroom towel rack. Our other rack hangs high on the back of our bathroom door and she, at 7 years old, just couldn't reach it. I'm trying to teach her responsibility and accountability, which includes cleaning up after herself, and leaving her towel in the bathroom floor was one area that was a great place to start... This solved the problem. Now she has her own little towel rack (approx 18"), and it's extremely well made.... I believe you could run over this thing with a truck and it wouldn't bend!! And we've had it hanging now for several months and even the dampness of the bathroom hasn't pitted or rusted it at all...

This series of hooks was installed on my bathroom door. The design and the hooks are wonderful. The back plate is a little thin but it is acceptable. Looks great and serves its purpose.
