Cast Iron Fairy Rain Gauge

Sweet rain gauge. I bought this to replace one that was broken after being knocked off a shelf by, I presume, a squirrel. I liked the idea that it is fairly heavy and virtually unbreakable, or at least repairable. The bottom where the rain gauge sits is quite level and the swirling sides come up high enough that can use a replacement gauge after the inevitable breakage or fading.

So cute for the deck. Very sturdy this one won't fall over or break from the wind. Came well packed in a separate box so it didn't break in shipment.

Very cute gauge. Nice and heavy However, it rained, temperature dropped below freezing, tube splintered when water froze. Seller offers no replacement tubes.

I like the concept of a table top rain gauge instead of one that needs to be hung on a fence or stuck in the ground. This one is heavy and will not blow over. I was disappointed to discover that a screw was missing that holds the fairy to the base. I rumbled through a jar with odd screws and bolts and was able to find one that would work. It is attractive and is made of cast iron, but it appears that there is nothing to prevent it from rusting. I don't care for the "rusty" look so I decided to spray paint. I am very pleased with it now.

I like how heavy (solid metal) the little fairy is. It is a more elegant way to figure out how much rain my plants have had compared to the cheap plastic gauges.

Stylish, attractive, weighted so not to be easily knocked over. Can’t wait for cooler & rainy weather!!

This rain gauge is nice and heavy and won't tip over. We have it on the table on our deck. My only objection is that the glass older is at an angle and doesn't stand up straight.

I like the fact that it's heavy and it won't rust
