Update after 2 years: This product still looks as good as the day it was installed.I found that After viewing the demo of this product on the Lomanco website I decided to purchase 3 rolls to replace the original ridge vents on my home as I was having some leakage depending on the force of the rain and wind direction.Roofer said it was easy to use and a great product. However the ridged version of this vent would also be a great option as the finished product may be just slightly have more of an even finish on the edges. Only very minor and just my opinion.

I put this product on top of my garage and was able to tell that day that the garage did not get so hot during the day as it had the previous day. Two weeks later I put it on the ridge above the house and experienced the same effect - the air conditioner runs less frequently, for less time. The proof will be in the kWh next month!The product was well-packaged, a coil of nails was included as advertised, and each box had a set of easy-to-follow directions. It was a simple installation and looks good from the ground. You can tell there is a ridge vent there but it's not obtrusive and the cap shingles hide it well.

So it works. I can feel that. Directions were pretty good. If you have done a ridge vent before than this is not all that bad. I was still trying to figure out if the shingles along the edges ( not on the vent) if they go over or under the black mat. I went under about a foot (sort of even with the vent hole) and then overlapped the vent shingles about 6 inches ( to avoid wind blowing rain in from the side). And of course the mat was over lapped by a foot over the vent hole. * so the vent hole is 1 ft shorter than the black mat. The shingles on the side of the mat underlapped the mat by a foot. Then the mat vent shingles overlapped the other shingles by about 6 inches). I would take a picture but way too lazy to get the ladder out and go on roof. So far no leaks.NOTES: I used ridge vent shingles which are cut at 12 inches. You could actually save money my making vent shingles out of excess roof shingles, if you do that there it is actually 13 inches.

So EZ and so effective. Nothing else on the market allows air in while keeping moisture out. Install is a breeze as well. So worth the extra cost. In this case you truly do get what you pay for.

I got what I was after and it seems to be great-- AFTER it finally arrived. Not sure if they had tro make a roll first but it was very slow. I needed more and bought from Walmart and shipping was decent and price was cheaper by $10

Low profile. Good nailing. Simple

I am very pleased with this vent. It was easy to install,I researched ridge vents and felt this was the best one. Check out there web site you will agree.
