All good
All in all a wonderful experience.

NOT a Usuba
This is NOT a Usuba. This is a Nakiri. The box is labelled Nakiri, it is clearly double beveled, and the enclosed marketing brochure shows the entire line of Tamahagane knives, and they don't MAKE a usuba bocha.I strongly advise anyone shopping for an exotic, high-end asian blade to buy in person from a reputable dealer where you can try the blade.I will never buy a high quality knife from Amazon again, as the subtle distinctions and customer service have been a nightmare. When I buy a hand forged, high carbon, several hundred dollar knife it will never be from Amazon; I received my first usuba from Amazon Christmas of 2010. Now, in November of 2011, I finally got my money back for the flawed blade and have a cheap usuba to play around with.I have resigned myself to cheap, mislabeled Nakiri (Yes, there is a $38 'nakiri' for sale by Amazon that is actually a decent stainless steel usuba, I assume it is mislabeled for export).
