I just got my copy of this book and am LOVING IT! It's fun and interesting and so well written and organized. Even folks like me who love classic films but don't know them as well as the true devotees can really enjoy the quizzes. They're challenging and enjoyable and also reveal so much interesting information about these film gems.The book is organized into topic sections so you can easily choose your area of expertise or one you simply want to know more about. Even getting questions wrong is fun because you learn more about the subject. We've enjoyed playing with friends; we challenge each other and get into some great discussions while trying to workout the answer. I already know four people I'm going to gift this book to, AND challenge to some quizzes!While abundant, the questions never become trivial. I highly recommend to anyone who's ever enjoyed the craft and talent of these fabulous Classic Movies!

I really loved this book. It is very challenging, and even I, as a very knowledgable old movie fan, only scored 100% on one quiz...the one about Cary Grants movies. But, it's really fun to see the answers for those questions not answered correctly. This part of the book rating is: 5 StarsThe reason for the one star rating is that the book's binding is hard plastic, which, when you open the book to read it does not hold the page in place. I wasn't being hard on the book at all, and within five pages, the pages were coming completely loose. At first I tried to tape them to those still attached, but 99% of the pages completely separated from the binding. I did not respond to this order in a timely manner, so I will not be able to return this book. If I had been able to exchange my book for a new one, I would have tried heavily gluing the top and bottom edges near the binding. The pages will still come loose, but may stay attached at the top and bottom of the binding.I'm still happy that I purchased this book, but it's like reading loose pages in a file folder.

I hate to reach the end of the quizzes, so I'm trying to hold back. Wish there were more.

I bought this as a gift for a friend. Very disappointed that the "new" book arrived with the front cover scratched and the binding damaged. I do not have enough time to return and get a replacement.

I purchased this for two friends for Xmas and before I wrapped it I checked it out. I found it to be amazing, but quite difficult . My film buff friend in New Mexico, opened hers already and said it was one of the best she has seen. My other friend is getting hers tonight. As for me, I thought I would score well, but alas, did not.Great book and fun to read...

Yes, I did think I knew Classic films until I tried the quizzes in this clever book. What fun! You can play it with other film buffs and see who gets the most right. There even is a rating system in the back of the book. Are the only pre-1970 movies you care about "The Wizard of Oz" and "It's a Wonderful Life" or are you so mad about old movies you would rather watch them on the most beautiful day of the year instead of taking a walk in the park?

My fiancée is a trivia freak, and this book even stumped him. Great purchase on my part.
