Saving the leftside of my face, one sunny drive home at a time!
I was super hesitant to buy this item after reading the reviews, but I'm really happy I did. I have a looooooong and sunny southern CA commute, and this visor has really made both my morning and evening commute MUCH more comfortable, and safer for that matter.I made sure to MEASURE my sun visors before purchasing to make sure it would fit - please do this folks. I also played around with the placement and tightness of the velcro straps to make sure it was easy to use. Also, I tested out using the visor while my car was off just to get the hang of it. I feel had some of the negative reviews followed these steps first, they might have had a different experience.I'll admit, I was a bit surprised when I received the package by the overall quality (heavy cardboard insert instead of heavy-grade plastic), but that hasn't stop it's over function from doing exactly as advertised. I think it's a bit of a numbers game - if this item were priced ~$3 less/under $10, the reviews wouldn't be so harsh. But I think I've made my point - overall I'm very happy with this item, and only knocked off 1 star because of price and/or the non-plastic insert.

Clumsy device, but gets the job done
What can you expect for $10? It turned out to be way too big for my visor so I can't velcro it securely to my visor. So anytime I'm driving I'm unable to pull the cardboard extender out without the whole thing trying to slide off the visor. Same problem with trying to push it back into the holder. If you're on a long road trip and need this to shield you from sun in the same position for a long time, it gets the job done. It's just not maneuverable enough for constant readjustment that you'd encounter in regular city traffic. For smaller visors such as mine, it also prevents your visor from closing flush with the headliner, which could cause issues with your visor getting loose in the long run. Would not purchase again nor recommend.

worked pretty well in my Honda Civic
This is a pretty good product. I had been thinking of trying to cobble something together to block the sun coming in at odd angles, but was having trouble envisioning how to attach it, etc. I found this out here on Amazon, so I ordered it up. It was pretty easy to position, once it was attached to the visor, you just can't pull the extender out too far or it will fall out. It covered almost all the bad spots, in front while I drove down to KC, and then from the side, with the visor moved over the driver's door window, on the way back up. I wish there was a little bit more flexibility, but part of the problem is rear view mirror position, etc. I might get another one to put on the passenger side, for coverage from that side of the windshield. They are easy to remove and store, when you don't need them.

Car Sun shade visor
We got a new Honda CR-V. Great car but the sun visor is very pour to nothing. If the sun in on you right side of the car while driving the visor is no help. Purchased this visor and it does the job by blocking the sun fine. But it is flimsy. When you pull out the extra shade you can not push it back in with one hand. Pretty much have to use two hands. Hard to do while driving. Wish it were more stiff so one can retract the shade with one hand. While retracting the shade it move all over and slides off the cars stock visor. Then you have to reinstall it again. I say this visor is just fare to pour.

It serves the purpose
The idea is very good. It does give extra shade, especially when on the side window and pulled downward. In the morning, I drive down south and I am short, so the sun is right on my left side and in my eyes. This gives my left side perfect shade. However, it doesn't cover the sun when it beams in from the corner of the rear mirror. No matter which way I fixed it. Since I don't drive in that condition much at all, it doesn't bother me too much. But for someone who drive in the condition where sun comes in from the corner of the rear mirror, I would not recommend this one.I was slightly disappointed when I realized it's made of cardboard. But for this price I can't ask for anything else. I will see how long it lasts.

hard to manage while driving
The idea of this New Invention is excellent, but the product itself is fairly hard to use. The sliding plastic panel often sticks to the holder. When you give it a stout yank to free it, it often falls out of the holder and then you have to pull over and park in order to reinsert it so it will block the sun. If I could figure out how to make it move more smoothly when I am using one hand to pull it out, one hand on the steering wheel, and eyes on the road, it would be spectacular. For the price, I thought the materials were fairly sleazy.

Exactly what I needed
If you want something that looks super snazzy, you won't like this visor. If you want a visor that does the job, without costing a lot, I recommend this visor. I read the reviews before purchasing this, and I can say, it's not cardboard..it's more of a pressed art board, like mat board or presentation board. It's stiff and solid, but is board and not plastic. I haven't had any problems with it staying were I put it, nor being a royal pain to move. I like the fact that it has the little extension piece at the bottom, as the sun is always burning my cheek on the way home from work, and this provides the shade I need.

works well but quality is poor
This addition to the visor works well to offer a shield against the sun. The adjustable position on the shield allows continued protection as the sun moves. The visor does not remain in place. It tends to slide off the end of the car visor even after tightening the straps. After only 1 month of use the plastic is sagging. The sun shield easily pulls out of the sleeve.Overall it is useful. I just wish there was a better quality option. The price of this product reflects the quality.
