Don't buy this book if you're looking for information to win a lottery.
If prospective purchasers of this book want to know if this book can help in winning the lottery, the answer is, "NOT LIKELY"! The author frequently makes the statement, "from a mathematical point of view, any number has the same probability of occurrence in a draw as any other" and makes no pretense of knowing any special technique or strategy of how to win, just the probabilities of a number being drawn, which for a lottery player, is a useless bit of information since "any number has the same probability of occurrence in a draw as any other". In short, if you want some lottery play insight, this book does not provide it.

Another dissappointment!
This book is written for someone named Genius because it's not easy to understand and what's the point of demonstrating your mathematical prowess if there's no proper application to be used by the average Joe.

A math book
I haven't entirely explored this book but it came as advertised. It's a book about math. Totally inaccessible for people who haven't studied higher math (college level, maybe postgraduate). It reads more like a dissertation on probabilities and the lottery. No humor.

FAIR
The book is complete, the author knows what she is writing. however you must be a skilled mathematician to understand it. That is you need to know very well, algebra, calculus and all that stuff.

A solid grounding in lotto theory
This is an excellent book. It presents the basics of working out combinations and probabilities using standard mathematical formulas. You will probably need some understanding of probability and combinatorics to tackle the book. The math is equivalent to about the 2nd last year of high school (Year 11) in Australia. The author has included an array of tables for those who are less confident mathematically. The main strategy types are covered in a factual manner and without drawing conclusions. The author is not pushing anything in the way of software and wheeling systems, so it is refeshing to read something based on fact. I've read 3 other books on this topic and they all were slanted towards selling something and had no math at all in them. I resent having to pay for hot air! Also many of them claim to have "invented" various ideas that seem to have been around for some time. After reading this book I feel that I have a solid grounding that will enable me to assess potential strategies. There are so many people selling "winning" stategies I think this is a must-read.

CONFUSING AND DIFFICULT
The book is disastrous for most people - you need a degree in calculus or advanced math to comprehend it. Have it for sale on Craigs List now. Got NOTHING out of it.

I am an engineer and as such wonder if the average person on the street would easily apply the equations
Well written and addresses the title very well. I am an engineer and as such wonder if the average person on the street would easily apply the equations. The tables provided in the book may bridge the gap for most thus eliminating the need to do the calculations using probability equations. In summary I am happy with my purchase as it gave me more confidence that I was setting up my own probability calculations from first principles.

Was the (complicated) mathematics of the lottery but very limited systems. Don't buy if you want some systems that are affordable.
