Fresh and delicious!
I had ordered macarons from somewhere else for the holidays but they were a disappointment and were much more expensive than these. I wanted real macarons. I am glad I found these. They are absolutely delicious!. Very flavorful and rich. As I was writing this I had to pause and get me a macaron. They are addictive. Wish they weren't so expensive but it's a very special treat, and it's best to keep it this way and not eat too many, and the enjoyment is much greater. Love them very much and they are very well worth it. Being luxurious once in a while is wonderful. They are also packaged nicely and make a beautiful gift. I keep mine in the fridge but of course they won't last very long.

Very delicious!
On a whim I decided to order these. I've seen a lot of pictures of people in high end restaurants in Paris with a plate of macarons in front of them and they looked so decadent. They arrived quickly and found them to be in individual ziplock bags. Not in a cheesy way. A professional, easy to open way. I make comment about this because it is a nice change from the automated heat-sealed cellophane wrappers you see on everything else. Inside is a little card with color pictures showing what each flavor looks like if you wanted to dive for your favorite. I went for a random choice and picked caramel. It tasted just like one of the caramels I get from a local shop. Very delicious. The cookies(?) were soft and moist; the filling very creamy and sweet. I then went for the hot pink one - one of the berry variants. Again very soft and chewy and delicious! At roughly $2.50 each, they're not cheap. I can't say how big their operation is - whether it's a mom & pop type shop, or a branch of some nameless MegaCorp, but they are good. There is no ingredient list, so I don't know how bad they are for me, but I don't care! It does say that they will last approximately a week if not refrigerated and up to 6 weeks if kept in the fridge...as if they'll last that long! They were not shipped in any special packaging for perishable food items. But, shipping to Montana in the middle of winter, you don't need anything special...as long as you don't care about it freezing! How they ship them in the middle of the summer, I don't know. It would probably be worth communicating with them to discuss this topic when summer approaches.

Most Appreciated Holiday Present
My best friend loves macarons and she loved this gift! First - great box and presentation. Second - Each macaron.is individually wrapped Third - TASTE! She commented on the freshness and how good they tasted. Because they are individually wrapped, the flavors aren't muddled. Fourth - Variety. She enjoyed that she got to try new flavors.

Most are good, some are GREAT, some are bad
Over all great 7/10 product But more specifically Most flavors were good, some were absolute 10/10s, but... a few were absolute -1/10s horrible. Consistent texture though all the cookies. Like 3 were broken, but that doesn't change the taste. Even with the downsides, definitely recommend, and I'm trying to stop myself from buying again right now. Kinda writing this out to... procrastonate. I don't need them I don't need them I don't need-

Very dissapointed.
This has got be a scam. This is the worst macarons I have ever ate in my entire life. The outer portion is hard as a rock all the way through. Crunchy like a dry cookie, the center filling was the real shocker, it smelled and tasted exactly like I was eating petroleum jelly/vasoline. I scooped some of the grease filling into my hand and held my hand under a running faucet to test if it would repel water like grease and it does. I am hoping this is just some type of food grade grease with some colored dye and slight flavoring to mask the fact i'm putting a spoon full of flavored vasoline into my mouth. This is not like any filling I have ever had, it smells, tastes, is the consistency of, and repels water like food grade machine grease like I use at my job to keep the machines that make candy lubed up. The cookie part is too sweet, it's just the overpowering taste of sugar. Like eating really dry cheap birthday cake. Threw out the box because everything is telling me this is a bad idea. I can go down to walmart and pay 9 dollars for a dozen of their cheap macarons and they are way better quality. I'm so angry that I paid 40 dollars for what feels like the worst dessert I have ever purchased in my entire life.

beautiful and delicious ... but let's also address some of those low ratings
these are absolutely amazing. if you're not familiar with them, think of them as the Jelly Bellies of sandwich cookies, at least in terms of the fancy range of flavours. i mentioned this in a previous review some time ago, but unfortunately it still applies: looking at the low-star ratings and poor reviews, aside from unavoidable personal preferences and the occasional shipping problems, many of the low-stars come from people who simply didn't know what they were buying. they either didn't know the difference between macarons and macaroons, didn't know how macarons are made and were confused by the texture of meringue, or didn't know macarons should be refrigerated and they let them dry out or go bad. the *only* difference between these and the macarons i've had in France is the time it takes to receive them -- which in hot weather may be a problem, especially if you're not home to bring them inside as soon as they arrive. (yes, they're perishable: they're made with eggs and butter.) however, i've ordered these three times, and each time they arrived exactly when promised, each time they were perfectly baked and perfectly packaged (with individual ziploc bags and even little individual bubble wraps, which is kind of adorable), and each time they were absolutely delicious.

Fantastic
First of all, these come packaged in a priority box with padding wrapped around the cookie box. The cookies themselves are packaged in individual, ziploc-type bags, the there is bubble wrap between the cookies and the top of the box to further protect them. My cookie box was a pale pink, sturdy cardboard. It was very pretty. I even had a card to tell me what colors were what flavor. Mostly, there's one that isn't on the card. The cookies themselves: Presentation was fantastic. The plastic spoils it just a little bit, but it's important for the freshness, obviously. The colors are vibrant and, to be honest, gorgeous. The cookie itself is an absolutely perfect example of a macaron. The flavors, from what I've tasted, are subtle and not artificial. The only reason I gave it four stars for flavor instead of five is that they are very, very, VERY sweet. I have never had an actual french macaron, so it may well be that they're supposed to be. It's just a little much for me, personally, and I wanted to include it in the review for people who may have the same issue.
