Westin 27-1815 Running Board Mount Kit fits 1997-2014 Expedition (Exc Funkmaster Flex Edition)

I bought some eBoard running boards, and they came with cheap copies of these mounts from China. The Chinese mounts did not fit. These genuine Westin mounts mounted very well, and are very sturdy. There were just a couple of things that I did not like about this kit. The mounts were stamped with part numbers, but the stamped numbers did not match any numbers in the instructions, so it's up to you to figure out how to mount them. A call to Westin's customer service didn't help either. They couldn't tell me which mount went where either. That makes no sense to me. I'll look under my truck and update which mounts I used where to aid others. The other thing I didn't like about the kit was the bolt kit. The holes in my truck rocker panels were fairly large, and the flat washers were fairly small and soft. I ended up using different flat washers, as I didn't feel the washers in the kit were safe. They should have supplied larger hardened washers. My eBoards that I bought mounted right up to these mounts, and everything worked well.

Includes self tapping bolts for mounting brackets on vehicles without threaded holes. Also includes square head bolts for mounting the running boards to the brackets. Powder coat finish. Sturdy. Install took about 1.5 hours including removing the old brackets.

the truck originally had four mounts and the kit came with three per side for a hundred bucks it could have four mounts also i went and bought stainless steel bolts and nuts because of where i live (rust belt) easy to install 1998 expedition

Very heavy duty. They are great. Would have been nice to have four brackets for each side but they are good!

It apparently worked as intended. I brought the runningboards and the hardware to a shop and they installed it in one hour. Since no comments were made one way or the other, I assume everything worked as intended. I had been told that it would take an hour's worth of labor to install the running boards.

Good quality, but could have been clearly marked to match the installation instructions, i.e. 4,5,6.

Perfect mounts for a 2011 Ford Expedition XL EL. Was able to use factory holes for the bottom portion of the mount and the upper holes were already threaded. No need for drilling! Very sturdy steel and high quality finish.

Exactly as advertised. Steel 1/4" thick, fits factory bolt holes well, good paint job.
