Bought this as a gift for a friend who is obsessed with the tv show and she absolutely loves it.

I love this book. We're planning to visit the Midsomer area in the fall and were looking for resources to help us plan our trip. This book helps us! The pictures are lovely and show us places we might want to explore. If you're looking for an in-depth discussion about each village, do not buy this book. If you're looking ideas for your trip, or are just curious about the different Midsomer locations, get this! We'll be taking this with us on our trip!!

I am a big Midsomer Murders Fan and own all 25 Sets released so far (100 episodes) so when I saw this book I immediately became interested because the locations of Midsomer are so picturesque and I was interested in knowing where they are located and more about them. The description of the book, 96 pages and the 6.6 x 9.6 x 0.3 inches size should have been a clue of what was going to be arriving in the mail. This is no coffee table book, it's barely thicker than a pencil.The photographs: Many are tiny, and many are badly printed with the colors not printed correctly. The colors in many images look faded, which means this may not be a book printing problem, but that the original images were not processed or printed correctly. The compositions of many of the images are awful, with bad perspective, parts of the subject cut off, etc. There is writing in several images that can not be deciphered because the images were not printed large enough.The Text: Outline text only, really bare bones with references to Midsomer episodes, but very little additional information. The text is written like a brochure which is what this really is. Many of the villages are covered in four or five sentences with no reference to Midsomer Murders at all.The printing: Printed like a brochure, the book is flimsy. Binding is not glued well, this book will come apart after reading several times. I would not try to press it to leave the pages open, because that will probably break the binding.For the price, this is an awful book. What makes it interesting for Midsomer Murders fans is that many locations are shown. This is the only reason this review gets a second star. Had this been photographed, written and printed properly it would have made an excellent book. I would have paid $50.00 for a well produced hardback, instead I pad $19.25 for a brochure. I can really only recommend this to hard core fans of the TV Series. A use I could see for it would be that were you to visit Central England you could take the book along as a guide in case you were interested in seeking out the locations.Review by Walter O. Koenig

Even Better than Roaming Midsommer, because the pictures are even more stunningly gorgeous. The descriptions of the places are deeper and more intense,. What a WONDERFUL BOOK for any Midsommer Fan, or for anyone who wants to see a gorgeous part of The World. A GLORIOUS album of glorious photos and text to enjoy over and over!!!! I am thinking of getting some more as presents for my friends who also adore Midsommer!!!!

Being a huge fan of Midsomer Murders this was a delightful look at the locations used for the television series. Even if you are not a fan it's well worth it for the wonderul picutures of the vilages in the English country side.

Wonderful photographs and commentary that makes you feel like you are there.Will be travelling to MidSomer this Spring and appreciate this concise guide to the area and its charm.

Reall nice pictures of the locations. I bought it as a bit of a tourist guide for the next time I'm in the UK. And, while it isn't actually a tour guide, it gives a better view of where to find this type location than other real guides I have seen.

I bought this as a gift for my dad, luckily it fit through my letterbox as i wasnt in to receive it! This was the perfect gift for him, in depth information of both the beautiful villages and knowledge of the 'midsomer murders'

Quite disappointed wasn't what I expected

If you are a fan of Midsomer murders then this is a lovely book. I just wish that it also gave the fictional names as well as the true names That is the only reason for not giving full marks
