The material is plastic but it does a good job I bought the whole set

I bought this for my catering event, I will pair it with my portable smoking gun. I prefer this over glass, because it is easy to carry. Somebody said it is hard to remove the protection film. It was actually quite easy, you need to remove the protection rubber rim first. After remove the wrapping plastic, put the rim back. I love it, good price also.

Flimsy plastic and the handle has to be assembled. The flimsiness matter because if it's even slightly warped it won't sit flat and unless you apply pressure to it's "compromised" top then smoke will just pour out from underneath.

Works great...much better than wrap over a bowl method. My wife doesn't like the residual smoke in the kitchen from my hand held smoke gun. This does a good job containing the smoke.

I figured that the silicone gasket base of this smoking cloche would hold in the smoke. I was wrong. It leaks out like crazy, through both the bottom and the silicone flaps in the side hole. The dome shape makes it impossible to smoke more than one cocktail at a time. And the sloped sides also mean that, if you're going to smoke cheese, the cheese needs to be on a small plate so that you don't lift up the bottom edges.This clear plastic dome is okay, but not as good as I had hoped.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

Worked great until my hubby put it in the dishwasher and melted it. Don’t put it in the dishwasher lol.

The majority of the written reviews appear to be for the actual smoking gun and NOT for this cheap plastic dome cover! But cheap in price, it is not! I was expecting something far more substantial for the price. I gave it one star for the concept which is good except for the absence of a rubber gasket around the base of the dome to assist with smoke containment within the cover. It is easy enough to use, but I would definitely NOT recommend this product at the current price. What a rip-off! This is just far too expensive for the quality of this product!
