The Practical Handbook for the Emerging Artist, Enhanced Edition

While some of the information is a bit dated, it has plenty of value if you are, in fact, an emerging artist. Though some aspects can make for a dry read, I'd suggest picking up a cheap copy and at least skimming through for the information to answer your nagging questions about the art world. I had to purchase a copy for a class in my last semester of college and I can't say I'm sorry to hang on to it.

I've read several books trying to figure out how to promote and market my work. This one has proved to be the most useful, and direct, vs esoteric.

Some very stupid things are said in this textbook and I honestly can't figure out why anybody would use it for a college course. I think they should use "How to survive and Prosper as an Artist" by Caroll Michels. That is a much better book.

This book came highly recommended for my class and is the perfect size to take anywhere and has great practical tips for actual artists.
