Gaiam Water Bottle Wide-Mouth Stainless Steel, Aubergine Swirl, 18 oz

I have the smaller bottle from Gaiam that doesn't have the widemouth design and I liked that one a lot so I bought the widemouth one since it was on sale too.The problem with this widemouth model is the design of the lid and handle. If you don't pull the handle vertically before you turn the cap, the handle will get stuck and wedged in the outside of the mouth area. Then it would be a pain to get it unstuck. This happened quite a few times before I wised up and made sure the handle was out of the way.Performance-wise, this bottle is great, just like my smaller one. If you add in boiling water in the morning, like I do, to make some tea to bring into work, that thing will stay hot for over 12 hours. If the water you put in isn't boiling hot or ice cold, then of course your drinks won't stay hot or cold for as long.Big issue was this morning I made a big bottle of hot tea with lemon to take on my snowboarding trip. However, I discovered the lid wasn't level when I closed it and 2/3 of the fluid spilled out wetting everything in my bag.Gaiam definitely needs to re-designed the cap/handle. Once that's updated, this would be a fantastic hot/cold bottle.

I received my water bottle yesterday and immediately put it to use . I love the print on this water bottle!! And what a bargain!!!So far I have been very very very pleased with how well insulated this is. Had ice water in it all day and the next morning my water was still nice and ice cold. I have not experienced any metallic taste as other reviewers had. (Sorry that has happened to you guys.) I did take one star off ONLY because my lid came broken, the handle did not fit in the holes on the lid. But to be completely honest, while ordering this I knew right away I was not going to use the lid it came with. I have several water bottles and therefore several lids that are superior to any other water bottle lid. I prefer a straw lid. But for people who will use the provided lid, be aware you may get one like mine. As of yet I cannot say how durable the bottle is....but it did take a couple falls/drops today during our trip to a museum today and there are no dents or scratches!!

I wanted a water bottle that was cute and at least 32 oz. I just recently ordered new yoga mats through, Gaiam. And then thought- why not check out their water bottles too?! Needless to say, I bought a 32 0z water bottle. I’m not IN LOVE with it but it gets the job done. My only issues are (1) the handle that’s attached to lid- it comes off. I was walking on a trail and I was holding the metal handle. The darn thing popped off. (Freaked me out a little. I had to go chase my water bottle. Hah!)(2) My hot beverages don’t stay hot. I made green tea a few times and let it sit for an hour. When I went to take a sip, it was warm. It went from scolding hot to warm within an hour. Steam came out from the bottle but overall - it did’t keep my beverage hot.(3) I’ve had my water bottle for 3 days and the log is already peeling off. (Sad day!)Pros (1) My ice-cold beverages stay very cold! That’s an absolute must for me because I work outdoors.So, you get what you pay for. Yes, the design is super cute. Yes, Gaiam makes the water bottle. BUT there are other water bottles out there that are more functional than this one. I would suggest paying the few extra dollars to purchase something more durable. I give this 3 out of 5 stars because the logo is already peeling off, my beverages don’t stay hot & the handle isn’t durable. ( I’ve only had this specific water bottle for three days. )

I've ordered like 8 of these this year. 2 for me, 1 for hubby, and the rest as gifts. Fill it with ice and water and in 24 hours you'll still have some ice in there. I love it!!! The twist cap can be a bit annoying because you have to unscrew it every time you take a drink BUT it also ensure none of it will spill. It's great for road trips. I work 12 hour shifts as a nurse and at the end of the day I still have an icy cold drink on the way home. Love it. I've washed them in the dishwasher and it was perfectly fine.

The design of this lid makes it so much easier to open and close than others (such as Kleen Kanteen, of which I have several). I can put my fingers/hand comfortably inside the lid hoop and this makes it much more comfortable to use leverage to open and close it securely. Also, it fits my Kleen Kanteen thermoses also, so that's a bonus. My mum has arthritis in her hands and I've already ordered another for her as well as another for my office.

This is my second time purchasing this water bottle. I used this bottle every day all day for a year, but eventually lost the lid and had to replace it. This bottle meets all of my needs. It is large, the stainless steel keeps my water cold all day (even with the lid off) and its lovely. No straw, which I personally love, but wide mouth for easy drinking. Bonus a carrying handle. I don't plan to switch until this bottle lets me down.

First off, I love the design series! Much prettier than the hydro flask in my opinion. Should note that this wood grain design is a little more of a violet hue than a grey hue. I bought for my husband but it’s slightly feminine. However, my bigger concern is that the bottle arrived with an odd paint chip on the bottom that looked like it maybe happened in the manufacturing process. Also had two small paint or varnish splotches inside the rim of the interior that won’t scratch or wipe off. I bought another Gaiam bottle at the same time and the second bottle was perfect so apparently this one just has cosmetic issues. Fingers crossed the design wrap doesn’t start to peel off.

I have the smaller size and wanted the 32oz so bad but they are no longer at Target and was so pleased to find them on Amazon and especially the leaf design that I loved! I love the handle for carrying this - it allows you to grab other items at the same time instead of just holding the bottle like others do. I put it in the fridge once a week to kill off germs and clean it afterwards.

I love the look of this bottle, the almost violet hues in the wood grain. Update: Used it the first time and while walking the lid came unscrewed (I made sure it was tight before carrying it) and the coffee went flying. I really like the pattern on the bottle so for the price I am going to keep it, will just not carry it by the handle. It is thin enough to get a good grip by hand though so that is ok. I wouldn't buy another. :( I would buy one with more threads on the top of the bottle. :(

Update: Leaks! I'd you don't put the lid on JUST RIGHT it can pour out. I've also had the lid give out when tipped upsidedown and fall off with hot coffee going everywhere. I thought this was a fluke one time when I got it, but it happens over half the time. Not reliable!

I have two of these now (one in each size), and they are the best I've found for keeping water cold. I fill it in the morning with about one third ice, and by the end of the day there is still ice in the bottle even after refilling it through the day.My only complaint is that sometimes the handle comes off, but it's easy to pop back on.

El articulo es funcional, pero parece de segunda mano o de saldo, llegó muy lleno de polvo y con algunos raspones y un pequeño golpe en la tapa, de haber sido así hubiera agradecido que lo mencionaran en la Descripción del producto. Ahora entiendo porque costó tan barato. Por otro lado funciona bien, no está roto y ya lavado recobró un poco el brillo. Estoy medianamente satisfecha con la compra.

Love the amount of liquid it holds but when I’m twisting the the lid off the handle gets stuck around the rim. Also, I discovered that it leaks but will keep water cold for a long time. I haven’t had liquid in it for twelve hours.
