Universal Plus Hot/Cold Therapy Pad

I had a large ice pack and sleeve from this company that is about ten years old. I love it because the gel never got hard or inflexible, it stayed cold for a long time and it was moldable enough to conform to my neck and shoulders in bed. It was comfortable, didn't make a lot of noise and stayed cold a long time. I decided to purchase another as I am having issues with my knee and wanted one from the same company. I bought a large and small one with a sleeve and Velcro straps. I am sad to say that the gel packs are not the same. They do not stay flexible once frozen and feel like they crystallize and are not moldable until about ten to fifteen minutes of taking them out of the freezer. Very disappointed.

Best I've ever found.

After years of using a rice bag it finally disintegrated. We bought this pad and have used it at least a dozen times now. It holds the heat for a good period of time and you can turn it to the thinner covered side when it cools and get even more heat. I think it lasts 3x longer than the rice bag with the same amount of microwaving. Used as an ice pack also and it was fine for that. I think it will last if not overheated.

I the event of lower back pain, it is really nice to have an ice pack therapy (Doctor recommended) that is reusable. Just drop the jell packs in the freezer and in about an hour you can use it again.

Have had several in different sizes for years and they are wonderful because the covers are very nice and great to use next to your skin with no discomfort.

I had 2 of these before (bigger ones) and loved them. well 12 years of usage wore them down - so I came back specifically looking for the same manufacturer. I found this smaller version. These are must haves - keep one in your freezer and the other ready to heat so that you are always prepared.

I wish it stayed hot longer.
