One slot piggy banks have been around for....centuries. But the world has changed. Now we have a highly sophisticated financial system, a system whose complexity has outstripped the ability of most adults, many of whom grapple with credit card debt, even bankruptcy. Personal finance education needs to start young. How? With the same universally loved childhood toy, the piggy bank....but with a 21st century twist! The Money Savvy Pig piggy bank has four chambers, one for each of the four money management choices a child should be taught from the time they are small. They are SAVE, SPEND, DONATE, and INVEST

A Great Way to Teach Little Ones How to Save and Donate!
This bank was a hit with my 13 year old daughter and my 6 year old son. When placing money in the bank both were able to decide the amount to spend, save for a rainy day, donate and invest (we are still working on the investment part!). It is a great and basic idea to discuss with children the importance of financial planning on their young terms. The colors are great and it has an easy opening when it is time to remove the money.

GREAT idea for teaching about money!
My 4 year old wanted a "red pig" piggy bank for her birthday. I FINALLY found this one and it was just an added bonus that it was also a teaching toy. I LOVE that I can teach her about saving money, sharing, etc. She already knows what each section is for, and when she earns money, she thinks carefully about which slot she'll put the money into. Right now, she's "saving for a woodpecker" so most of her money goes into the Save section. lol I didn't think she would "get it" but she does! Hopefully this is the start of a healthy relationship with money! GREAT idea!!!!

Great to teach children about saving & giving money
Gave one of these piggy banks to each of my grandchildren. They can peer through the translucent material and watch their savings mount up. It's a wonderful and fun way to teach young children about saving, investing and donating to others (plus saving some spending money for yourself).I don't hesitate recommending this product.

Love teaching money lessons early
Got two of these, one for each child, for their 3rd birthday. Now that they are 5, they understand it! It was fun buying cat food for the animal shelter. It was fun saving up for the book they wanted to buy. Everything stays closed quite well, and coins don't come out until you open the bottom of the foot and let them out. Dollars are a little trickier to get out, but they do come out. I couldn't be happier with the bank and the principles it instills.

Divided Piggy Bank
The good points about this bank are-it's divided so the child can learn about saving, investing, donating and spending. It's see-through, so the child can see how much is in it. It comes with a book which helps explain how to teach a child to save.

Great Lesson in Savings
Got it for our 5yo daughter and she has already saved up for her fisrt spending project, a trip to the movies. Next on her financial plans are to contribute for a bike. Great way to motivate kids and teach them the value of saving.

Fun and educational
My 2 year old nephew loves putting coins in this clever little bank. As he gets older, his parents will be able to teach him about the different sections. And I love that the sections can be emptied individually by the plugs in each of the feet. Very cool.
