This TV stand looks absolutely amazing! I got the black and silver and it is a great looking stand. We have a Sharp 50" HD flat panel TV and were amazed how much larger it looked compared to how we had it before. We had been using a square clunky coffee table as the stand and didn't really notice how much it was impacting the image.First off they recommend backing it up to a solid wall but diagonally it is perfectly stable. Second, we have it on carpet, so hardwood or tile is only getting sturdier. Lastly, like I said we have a 50" and it looks much larger than before due to the smaller design but I wouldn't put anything larger on it for fear of tipping. I've never owned anything larger than a 50, but I'd say this seems almost designed for that exact size.Assembly took me near 3 hours, probably could have done it in 2, but I like to be thorough considering I'm trusting the far pricier television to the stand. It says do not use power tools however I used a screw gun for the hinges on the doors, very carefully though. The entire thing can be done by yourself but I would highly recommend having a second person around to assist with the door mounting. All the instructions are easy to follow and illustrated clearly. It reminded almost of building lego sets when I was younger using the booklets! If the doors aren't lined up perfect don't worry, they can be adjusted. The tough part is just getting the hinges on the body and then the doors on the hinges. All in all I'd say it probably took an hour and a half reading the instructions, counting all the pieces and making sure everything was there, and then assembling everything up to the doors. Next hour and a half was getting them on there, adjusting the doors to exactly where I liked them, and them hooking up all the electronics.Shelf space is incredible! I have a standard Samsung Blu-ray on the middle shelf on the highest tier (the one centered with the cut-out backing for cordage and perpendicular to the door handles; also there are 3 tiers for all 3 shelves) and it fits flush. I have a Wii U underneath the Blu-Ray and have extra cordage to run the sensor bar from the back of the Wii there to the top of the tv with no trouble. I could probably fit another system juxtaposition to the Wii U on that shelf if I needed too. Its pretty spacious. As for the shelves inside, I have them on the lowest tier and can fit all the accessories for the Wii on just one side! You could easily adjust the shelving in a pinch if need be.All in all I would recommend this stand based on looks alone. The added benefit of shelf customization, stability, and just the amount of space it gives makes it a fantastic buy. Also the price is quite low for what you get. You'd probably pay 110+ easily in a retail store for this TV stand before tax.Lastly it is quite heavy in the box. It was shipped FedEx and I believe they listed it at 68 lbs.? Might be wrong I'll check and edit if that's the case. Once assembled its easy enough to move.

Great TV Stand at an Excellent Price!
I purchased the 50" TV stand in Espresso/Silver for $69.97. I was impressed with this product as soon as I opened the box. Each piece was carefully packed, padded and labeled. All of the hardware was packed in a small box, each item individually bagged and labeled. All of the parts were there and in perfect condition.Putting this TV stand together could not have been easier. I learned a long time ago to follow instructions, even though I often think I know better. All I needed was a screwdriver (I recommend a power one) and the included allen wrench. I laid out all of the parts and carefully followed each step. The manual was large and easy to read. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow and the diagrams made perfect sense. Assembling and mounting the doors took a bit of tweaking, but even that was clearly explained in the instructions. In around 30 minutes, the TV stand was completed. It's very attractive and I'm very satisfied with the quality. It appears to be quite sturdy and it has more than enough room for all of my components. In fact, there is plenty of available space. The component wires can be easily run and hidden.I would highly recommend this TV stand.

Good result, adaptations may be needed for proper assembly.
Overall a good result but some tricky spots in assembly. The artificial wood finish is good but not perfect. But the end result is stable and reasonably attractive, so the bottom line is that it is a good bang for the buck, if this is the size and style for your needs. The price was especially low when I bought it, and I would never pay near the supposed "list" price for it. It is discounted most places it is sold, including some major stores/websites you probably use besides Amazon. My delivery was by UPS -- and you will need help getting the box moved inside. Most steps in assembly were easy if you've ever done this sort of thing before. However, they did not plan well for the hinges, and you have far less room to work on them -- a problem since they require the most screws of any part. Also, on my unit the screw holes were not pre-drilled adequately for the hinges. Whoever did that job in the factory just marked starter spots in the finish -- not actual holes -- and in particle board you simply can't drive a screw in by force. When I figured out why it was so hard (after everything else had gone so well) I drilled shallow holes with a 5/64 bit for all hinge screws, on the base and on the doors. After this the screws went in easily, but firmly, and convinced me that this was how the factory was *supposed* to have done it.The finish is of course just a plastic film and little pieces can tear off when you start removing the letter stickers that identify each part. I covered the torn spots with leftover masking plastic from the sheet with the cam lock covers (you'll understand if you get one of these kits). The end result is pretty solid and attractive but took a little more creativity and elbow grease than I had planned to spend. Even so, it compares favorably to some other products with harder assemblies and even worse QC. And better than most of my Ikea experiences! :-) So, keep it in perspective. When finished it looked smaller than I expected -- my new 50" TV just fits on top, with room for only a little angling in any direction. But it is well supported. The cable box and a typical DVD player will mostly fill up the next shelf, due to the support pole there. I haven't decided what other components to try to fit in the lower shelves. And I honestly don't know what to do with the cabinet sections. Remember, these sections are all just a couple of inches off the floor so you are bending over a lot to use them. The viewing height is okay, which is a big deal. I probably won't bother with a wall mount unless I want more angles or more shelf space. So, for a compact all-in-one entertainment center on a budget, this really fills the bill pretty well.Note: the photos show Altra-branded cable ties in the back of the unit. They are NOT included in the kit.
