Seiko Sportura SNAE87 - the best value in a quality watch that I could find!!!!!!
After hours and hours of research, I finally decided to take the plunge on this Seiko. Here is what you get.1. A great looking watch that can be casual or business professional (The case is a brighter stainless steel than you see in the picture, but looks great). Very sharp looking without going over the top. Weighs 3.3 ounces.2. A sapphire crystal that is rarely seen in this price range. I literally looked at thousands of watches and this was the lowest price watch that I could find with this feature. This feature makes the face of the watch very difficult to scratch. I found that most other watches with a sapphire crystal costs at least double of this Seiko Sportura.3. Water resistance to 100m. Not shown on the dial, but stamped on the back of the case. Important since I don't want to worry about showering or swimming with this watch. It also has a screw down crown.4. A polyurethane wrist band that is very comfortable to wear. It is not too stiff and I forget that I even have it on. It seems to be made of good material and should hold up. Time will tell (pun intended).5. 3 year Seiko factory warranty with warranty card. I purchased directly from Amazon.6. Black dial with white hour and minute hands. This contrast makes it extremely easy to see the time at a glance even with all the chronograph dials. The chronograph is easy to operate and fun to reset. The only negative I have with this watch is the date window. Its too small and not in the best location, although it can be read. All said, this Seiko series is the best value in a quality watch that I could find.

The watch is beutifull and reliable but the strap
Seiko is definitely an excellent brand, reliable, the watch is gorgeous but the strap, this last one I don't know if it will last since looks fragile and cheap, definitely the watch deserve a better strap. So far I'm happy with the watch, looks nice on the wrist. I don’t give the watch 5 stars because the strap, hopefully it last as much as the watch itself

I have excellent hearing, and the alarm could not be less ...
I can't believe the high ratings this watch has been given, considering one of its primary features is an alarm setting, which is hard to get in a watch and any price point. I have excellent hearing, and the alarm could not be less discernible. You would almost have to tape the watch to your ear to hear the alarm if you were sleeping. Thank goodness for Amazon's return policy. This one is headed back.

good watch but....
The watch is very good looking. the clock is almost at the same with my other atomic watch in term of accuracy. But I am very disappointed in the band--a plastic one. The band is always off from the two holding ring thing. The date window is too small.

Fantastic watch at great price
After 9 months of wearing this watch almost daily, traveling extensively and generally being very rough with my gear, I can say this is a very high quality timepiece, and is a steal at this price. The sapphire crystal is very rugged and remains scratch free, despite my less than careful habits (bumping into walls and aircraft, as well as dropping this from my nightstand several times). Clearly well made, and looks fantastic (far better than significantly more expensive watches).I have several nice Bulovas, an Omega and a Breitling, but the watch I instantly grab is this Seiko. Hard to believe (even myself) but it's true. Would buy again.

Sporty Watch
Glad I found this watch and bought it at a great price. This watch keeps accurate time and looks great. I particularly like that this watch has a Sapphire crystal, which makes the crystal scratch resistant compared with glass or Hardex. This watch has dual time zone capability and alarm. The alarm is not very loud and I do not rely on this feature. This watch is great for everyday wear.

Good solid watch--great value.
Good solid watch. The only weakness is that the edges of the watch body have very sharp edges, especially where the band meet the body. These sharp edges bite into my skin, sometimes. It is not a deal breaker, but maybe Seiko could polish down the edges a bit?

Very Attractive Watch
I was hesitant to buy a watch without a metal bracelet, but was very surprised at how attractive it was when I opened the package. The face of the watch is quite stunning. The chronograph circles and hourly markings are made from beveled metal that sparkles when the watch is moved away and toward light, which I find very snazzy. The band is plastic but it's a very hard plastic. The tachymeter around the edge the brings the bling down so it can be worn both dressed up or down.I've owned a few watches over the years and I compared this watch to another watch I own in the same price range and the Seiko Sportura has better craftsmanship. I got an Amazon gift certificate for Christmas, and chose this Sportura over the other Sportura's because it was the only Sportura listed on Amazon that included a Seiko 3 year warranty even though some others had metal bracelets.
