Great buy!
Just received this lantern yesterday (quick shipping, yea Amazon), so we haven't installed yet, but wanted to give my first impressions right away. The overall color of the fixture, which was something I wondered about before I received it, is definitely BLACK, not an orange-tinged rust color as the description "rust" might imply. It is overall black, with a red tinge...something you notice really close up, but from a distance (like from the floor to a 14+ foot high ceiling) it will definitely read black. Although lightweight, the fixture looks heavy and substantial. I've been shopping for this style of light fixture for several weeks, and everything else I looked at cost a lot more. This may be a discount fixture, but I truly think it will be beautiful in my home. I ordered three of these altogether (the bigger version in my foyer, and a pair of this smaller version for the adjoining great room), and I couldn't be more pleased that I spent less than $500 (all three fixtures included) for designer-looking results. Also, the fixture includes cream-colored interchangeable "candlesticks," allowing you to get a slightly different look if desired.I'm so pleased with how Amazon offered such a good price and shipped so quickly...I'll definitely be shopping for additional light fixtures from Amazon as we continue renovations on our new home.

Love this light fixture!
This light fixture met all of my expectations. It looks exactly like the picture.I purchased this light fixture to hang in the foyer of my house, which has very high ceilings (it's a two-story foyer entrance). At first I thought the light was going to be too big and overpower the space, but once it was hung (by professionals), it was absolutely perfect in every way. I'm also glad that I purchased it through Amazon because I had found the same light fixture for a hundred dollars more on Overstock.If you have a large space, this light fixture will certainly add charm and sophistication to your home.

Color is Black, only the chord is brown. It's an open lantern not encased.
Upon opening, I was expecting something with a little more quality for the price and for it to be more lantern like; encased glass. It's open and jet BLACK, not 'RUST' as described. You could probably pick up a light like similar to this at Walmart for $40.

beautiful high end looking light for fraction of the cost!!
I had been admiring these lanterns on Houzz for sometime, but so many of them were very expensive. I saw the price of this one on Amazon and decided to give it a try. When it arrived in a very big box, I admit I wondered if it would be too big, even after closing looking at the measurements. Once it was hung in our two story foyer, I could not be happier! It is beautiful and very high end looking! You could easily pay three times this amount for something very similar. Like I said, it is large, but if you are using in a two story ceiling area it will fill the space perfectly! The electricians I had hang it, said it was very easy to install. Just extremely pleased with this purchase!!
