Emotional and sad at times
I hope this story doesn’t ever end, I been so hooked from the beginning! The love story and the adversity that they go through to keep their relationship is crazy, but worth it. Also is a reflection of how the LGBTQ community suffers and has to endure to survive in this world full of hate and bullies. A really good series.

Number three
This was a fairly good entry in the series but it had more of a short story feel to it than I would expect from a full length book. I think Jay's writing has improved and I do enjoy his characters, but there is a certain lack of depth in areas that is really needed to help develop the story line. It almost seems like he is rushing towards the end and leaving some important details out in the process. Still, it is a good story and has good potential.

Another great chapter in the beloved boys from Fairmont
This was an easy read and despite having plenty other to do, I read it in less than 24 hours ... You know a book is good when you look down at the footnotes of your Kindle app to see how much is left expecting to be half way through and are actually 90% done. I love Liam and Alex and hope there is more coming!

Could have just been one book...
The whole series could have been confined to one book instead of being spread out over three. Chockfull of your standard LGBT coming out tropes and tribulations, none delved deeply enough to cause more than superficial angst within the characters. Straight forward plotlines presented little surprise. Character developmenr and growth kept to a minimun, may have been done intentionally to be explored in further books, but, given the short comings of this series I doubt I will explore this author further.

Beautiful story of love and friendship
A tender and touching story of love and friendship. I did not read the first two episodes but am looking forward to reading parts 4 and 5 which are in order. It is beyond credulity that a father could be so ego centric to reject a loving son. Alex came to peace with the reality of his father’s rejection because of his boyfriend, his boyfriend’s parents and his friends at university. I am anxious to find out what happens with Scott’s brother and Jamal. The characters in this novel are beautifully drawn, the author breathing life into them in 3 dimensions. Each chapter ends on a suspenseful moment which is not resolved in the next chapter but in the following one. If you like a pleasant read, do read this novel.

It's tough for everyone.
This is Book 3 in the Swimmer Boy series. We jump into the past when Alex was a toddler and learn that his father, Paul, hit his mother. Switching back to the boys, we see them starting college as roommates. As they try to hide that they are a couple from Alex's parents, all hell breaks loose and Alex loses everything. Can the boys keep it together in spite of the issues? There are some wonderful side stories and personalities that tie into the overall themes really well.. This book has a lot of depth and some unexpected twists. Tyler is a character to watch. A great read.

... In the Fairmont Boys series and it is the best so far
This is book 3 in the Fairmont Boys series and it is the best so far. If you have not read books 1 and 2 then please do. You can not help but love all the ups and downs of the young love between Alex and Liam, starting in High School and now at University. This book has griped me to the extent that I started to read it and thought I will read a couple of chapters each day. However, I started and sat through the night and have now read the entire book! Now I have to wait for Jay Argent to write book 4. This book is first class but you do need to read the series from the beginning. I recommend this book so much. It is both heart warming and funny and will bring tears to your eyes but that is all part of its charm.

This book kept the foot on the accelerator and kept making me want to read to the end to see how it goes. Love the characters and how relatable they are

This is the third book in the series " ...
This is the third book in the series "Fairmont Boys" describing the journey through high school to college of two boys. There are both tender and serious moments, mirroring real life, which is seldom a smooth trip. Well written, with accounts written from different viewpoints of the same incidents. Never difficult to read, with lots of suspense too.
