The strike plate arrived promptly and was of a good quality. Easy to fit and did the job.

This one strike plate will fit many different old lock design options. It fixed my faulty old clapped out strike plate problem, meaning I didn’t need to replace the whole lock which would have involved additional woodwork to the door.

Good product. A couple of blemishes in the plating around countersunk holes.

To my great shame, I did not quite finish the job when I installed new doors throughout the house 25 years ago. I discovered one day, as the bathroom door swung open to reveal my wife on the throne, that I had never got around to installing a catch plate, and the door would not longer close safely. After a lively debate on the subject, my wife and I established a required completion date (yesterday) and I scoured the web to find a suitable part. This one fit perfectly. I was pretty amazed at that given that the door frame was 40 years old and had been originally fitted with a completely different part. I had to do a little chiselling but it was a pretty easy job and the catch plate works very well. Best of all, my wife no longer has to signal her intentions when going upstairs.

It would have been perfect if the brass plating had been on the outside instead of the inside! Hope the replacement I have ordered is correct.
