Yamato Mekakore Special Box (Space Battleship Yamato)

Wow!!! Thirty-three model kits in one box. I was collecting these back in the nineties, and over time most of them have broken. Now, these are pretty much the same kits with a few modest updates such as plastic color and a bit more detailing. Note that these are not from the 2199 series. You will need tweezers as the parts can be painfully small. You will need some paint to make these pop to life, but you can get away without painting. You should get a bottle of panel stain, as that will bring out the details nicely and give the models a more worked appearance. They've included a single book with all of the instructions and photos of the finished kits. The instructions are in Japanese, but they're self-explanatory. Some of the kits use sticker decals. You can have some great fun painting the details and making these kits look fantastic. You will need a few tiny brushes to make this work. They are amazingly faithful to the original series from the seventies. I would suggest not getting this for a child as the parts are miniscule and require a good deal of patience.

A great collection of various ships from Yamato. Instructions are a bit jumbled and the ships aren't very well labeled, so you'll need to do some flipping to figure out what you're putting together. The biggest downside is that unlike the other mecha colle Yamato ships, these are NOT snap fit and WILL require glue. Given how small some of the parts are, this is really, really annoying.

Worth every penny! There are ALOT of models in the box. I bought this for all the ships to make a space combat game and I was blown away at how many ships it came with. Not to mention the level of detail is outstanding. Some of the ships had issues sitting level on the stands, but could have easily been fixed with a hobby knife and file.

This is the set every starblazer fan should have....love it, great to have!!!

まずはとりあえず大戦艦が欲しかったのですが、単品では見つけられず、セットにも見あたりません。そのうちにこのボックスを見つけたのですが、その頃はかなり高く躊躇。今回１万円切ったので思い切って購入しました。箱を開けると、まずは溢れんばかりに(一度出してしまうとしまうのが大変)ぎっしり詰まったランナーに圧倒されます。その後は一つずつ取り出してじっくり見てみると妄想が広がります。旧キットは自分のように技量がないものでもいじれるのが楽しいです。部品流用でオリジナルなんか作れますしね。その点新キットは砲塔など武装の付加くらいしか手を出せないので、作りやすさとか精巧さ以外の面では改悪だなあというのが個人的感想。大戦艦、某同人誌で見た初期型っぽく改造してみたいなあとか、いろいろ妄想が広がると一組では我慢できず、幸いまだ購入できたのでもう１組注文してしまいました。追加のＮｏ３１－３３、艦船ちゃんな自分はコスモクリーナーつけるなら、なにか戦艦作って欲しかったああと言うのが正直な感想です。中型戦闘艦とか暗黒星団帝国護衛艦とかならなあ。

皆様仰る通り、箱無し･････。予約購入も落胆の余り、今頃開封(製作開始)。(汗)早速「ブラックタイガー」か！と思いきや、何故か「アンドロメダ」から！(笑)「ブラックタイガー」が、２１９９シリーズのメカコレサイズ同様、スナップオンとは恐れ入りました。スタイルも旧メカコレのズングリムックリとは違い、かなりスタイリッシュ。｢眼｣｢口｣のステッカーも良いですね。塗装も基本黄・黒のツートンカラーで楽チンだし！(大笑)「これだけでも買った価値が有るね。」と自分に言い聞かせてます。(笑)只、流石にこれだけ(ブラックタイガー)で、この値段を納得する訳にはいきません。残り３１セット、地道に作っていこう！(と又々言い聞かせてます。(爆))
