Good idea, but issues when used with a panorama head.
It works fine but the design poses a problem for my use. I level a panorama head with this, The turn wheels and levels create a large nadir footprint that is hard to fill. Didn't reckon on that issue when I got it, but as there is no simple way to fill the nadir, the smaller the bottom hole the better. Also, the bubble level is hard to judge when it is just about chin level. Ideally, a bubble level should be viewed straight down but my panorama head blocks that perspective. Software is so effective for leveling a panorama after it is shot that I don't think the extra margin of difference with this head really matters.

Cannot recommend the Fotga Tripod Base Station Head Leveler.
I had high hopes for this three point leveling platform but was severely disappointed when I tried it for the first time with the mounted weight of a DSLR and lens. A serious flaw immediately became apparent: when all three posts are locked down, there was a considerable amount of movement in one of the three pivoting joints on the top plate. whether this is a problem with the design, engineering, manufacturing, or quality control, or if this is just an issue on this individual unit I do not know. But I am returning it.Since I need to use it as a leveling base for stitched panoramas where the camera body is mounted on the end of "nodal slide" this means that the plane of rotation will unexpectedly tilt as as the camera is rotated around the nodal point.I already own a similar product from Manfrotto but I dont like that the tilt locks are beneath the lower plate which necessitates need using a spacer between the leveling base and the tripod's head mounting plaform. Also the Manfrotto product is larger and heavier and I was hoping this Fotga base would solve the clearence and weight issues.

Great for Panorama photos, when the tripod level need to be straight in 360 turningpoint, very precise!
