The Clear Vue Cyclones Mini CV06 is a cyclonic pre-separator for shop vacuum systems. The inlet size receives a 2" vacuum hose – (adapters to other shop vacuum sizes sold separately). With the benefit of extended filter life and uncompromised airflow, the Mini CV06 is a great accessory for any shop vacuum! The Mini CV06 is a scaled version of the Bill Pentz Cyclone design that minimizes dustbin emptying and addresses the need to constantly clean and replace expensive fine filters. Traditional woodworking “cyclones” separate most of the heavy chips reducing the frequency of emptying dustbins, but traditional “cyclones” pass nearly 100% of the fine airborne particles that coats, clogs and ruins fine filters. Airborne wood dust has razor sharp edges and points that rapidly destroy filters. Traditional “cyclone” designs require constant cleaning and/or replacing expensive filters to maintain good airflow. Unlike other “cyclones”, the Mini CV06 separates heavier particles and most fine airborne dust particles. Separation of airborne dust is six times better than competing models. Independent medical school testing recorded separation rates at 99.9% of dust particles larger than 5-microns and 80% of fine dust particles sized to 0.5-microns. So little dust gets into the shop vacuum resulting in less filter cleaning or need for replacement filters. Continuous full airflow is uncompromised. The Mini CV06 is a great addition to any workshop. Used in conjunction with a shop vacuum, it is ideal for hand tool workstations and general dust clean up.Clear Vue Cyclones was founded in 2004 as a family owned business in South Carolina. Our commitment is to provide state of the art dust collection systems and accessories, wholly manufactured in the USA.

Great cyclone
I almost passed on this from the reviewer that said it was thin cheap plastic, but went ahead. Glad I did. It is made of PETG plastic, which is high impact and quite hard - plus it is made in the USA and that matters to me. I had tried a $25 chinese cyclone which was useless - huge pressure drop. I also used for years a small Thien baffle which worked well to sort out the heavier stuff, but passed much of the fines. Mounted this to my RIgid 6hp vac, and while there is a bit of static pressure drop, it still has plenty of suction. When I used it to clean out my pellet smoker burner can, I watched streams of fine black ash spiraling down the cone and into the bucket. Popped the top, and there was nothing on the filter. Sold.

Cheep and thin plastic!!!!
Negative: I have an older model and wanted to buy one more. However, when I have received the new model, I had to return it right away. Plastic is much thinner and it feels that it would brake every time you touch it!!!Positive: Return was smooth and quick!Recommendation: Read reviews, analyze, and make your own conclusions.

Perfect Cyclone
I tried several "high efficiency" cyclones as a primary separator for my dust collection system on my CNC router....none of them worked...the dust stream went right past the cyclone....so I purchased the CV06 in October...as of this writing, I've not had to clean the cartridge filter on the shop vac......this cyclone works perfectly

Works Great
I have both the old version of this cyclone and recently added the newer version. I mounted it to my shop vac as shown in the picture. It works wonderfully! It filters out most of the dust so the filter stays unclogged indefinitely. I still use my original Clearview and if it breaks I would buy a third one. Great product!
