Haws Indoor Watering Can with Rose and Gift Box, 2-Pint/1-Liter, Copper

This is a real Haws watering can made from quality copper nicely fitted and carefully soldered together. Because solder melts at relatively low temperatures this is not the can to use to heat water in. It is not a multi-tasker. It is beautiful and useful. The copper is not lacquered so it can be polished using a good copper polish or jewelers cloth and it will need to be polished periodically to keep its 'out of the box' appearance. I find the 2-pint/1 Liter size is the 'right' balance between useful capacity and comfortable carrying/pouring weight when full. The classic Haws design with a copper tube supporting the long, flowing spout is stable and sturdy. Water flows at a good rate and the long nose of the spout works well for placing water into the middle of a plant. The brass rose is also well-made and provides a gentle spray that doesn't stray too far from the edge of the pot or planter. As the manufacturer suggests, the rose is not best used on indoor pots and plants because there will be some over spray. The rose slips on and off easily. Good gardening tools give me extra pleasure every time I use them so I see value for the price in this item. The packaging in the picture is also 'a step above' in quality, being fitted to accept the can. A little gift wrap and you have the presentation that will please any avid gardener.

This is just what I wanted and needed for my indoor plants. It's so nice to be able to keep an attractive and quality watering can in my home without having to hide it under the sink. I can't stand the look of the cheap plastic in those hideous colors. This little gem doesn't hold a lot of water but I don't have a lot of indoor plants and it's not as if they need a lot of water. It's simply gorgeous, looks wonderful on a shelf in my kitchen,made in England and it will last many many years. Worth every penny.The brass rose is removable for plants like African violets or orchids but otherwise, it has a gentle shower that will work for dish gardens and larger pots.I would also recommend this as a gift to any gardener or house plant lover because the packaging is almost as nice as the pot itself.

I wanted a small, functional but ornate watering can to sit with my bonsai trees, and this fit the bill perfectly. It is polished, but unsealed, so it can either be kept polished to maintain the shiny copper finish, or left to patina over time. I plan to do the latter.As for function, there is not a lot to say, the product does what it says, and is well made, with no leaks, drips etc around any part of the can, spout or rose.The rose appears to be hand made, and has a somewhat irregular hole pattern, but this shouldn't matter.Looks great, and works.

so beautiful. now i can leave my watering can out, without my wife being upset that something ugly is around the house. like others though, there is a dipping coming at the end of the rose. it sucks, but not a dealbreaker. like others have said, this is so incredibly gentle, that despite its small size, it allows me to water my 7 plants, large and small, in the house in a single filling by wetting all soil around them gently.

The design, style was nice, but the inside of the can was dirty and with lots of water spots. Totally look used! I hope the seller will do something about it...

Ok, this seems like the biggest joke ever, this watering can is so tiny it hurts. And it's super expensive. I was skeptical at first, I admit. I have a LOT of house plants, most of them weigh as much as me by now. But this watering can somehow administers 2L of water so evenly that your plants get just enough to dribble out of the bottom of the tray. It's like the people who made this engineered spacecraft in their younger years. Not to mention it feels perfect in your hands (ok, I have little hands though) and doesn't hurt your wrist! Let me tell you also, it's gorgeous. And the spout is amazing for watering indoors! If you have a lot of plants and want to spoil yourself, then go for it! You won't be disappointed.

I bought this from Amazon in Feb. 2015 and have enjoyed keeping it on my kitchen counter filled with filtered water ready to water my houseplants. It is a bit messy to use with the rose, since the pots in my kitchen are too small to shower with water as it comes from the rose, so I always remove the rose to water my plants. I also really liked using this long, thin spout to add water to vases of flowers, which often are very tightly arranged and were previously very difficult to add water to without a huge mess. The spout is able to get between flowers without damaging an arrangement.The 2-star review is because my can has sprung a slow leak, either around the base seam or more likely where the spout is attached to the body of the can. The leak is so slow that water pools beneath the can and for awhile I thought the last time I'd watered I'd splash water that didn't evaporate underneath the can. However, I now realize it is a leak, which made me very unhappy given the price of this little can! I chose to buy it expecting not only an attractive can to leave on my counter, but also very high quality and maybe I was naive, but I expected it to last a lifetime, not less than 2.5 years! Another reviewer who experienced a leak had a comment from someone saying that copper and water react badly and will always spring a leak eventually. They suggested the reviewer simply take their can to a metal worker to have it resodered. I just checked the Haws website and as in the Amazon description, there is NOTHING written anywhere about having to baby this item or keep it from staying in contact with water. I certainly would not have purchased it if I thought it was not meant to have water left in it without needing me to hire a skilled metal worker to repair it as part of regular maintenance.We have copper pipes throughout our home and I never would have thought that a copper watering can should not have water left in it! It takes forever to fill from my filtered water spout, and having to fill it each time I would want to use it would be a 5 minute ordeal each time. For me, the can is only worth having on my counter filled and ready to use. Otherwise it is just clutter.I sent a message to the Haws company and will add to this review after hearing back from them, although after reading that another unhappy reviewer was told there is only a ONE YEAR WARRANTY (posted nowhere on the company website or in the Amazon description!) I am not optimistic that they will stand behind their expensive copper watering can.

This is a beautiful watering can. It's so nice I leave it out for all to see, and it always gets comments. It's very functional and the removable rose tip provides a gentle rain over seedlings that won't harm them. Money well spent, IMHO.

Die Gießkanne sieht nicht nur extrem gut aus, sondern erfüllt ihre Dienste zur vollsten Zufriedenheit. Farbe und Form verleihen der Gießkanne ein absolut elegantes Äußeres, die kleine, flache Tülle rundet dieses wunderbar ab. Die Verarbeitung war einwandfrei, die Nähte sauber gearbeitet. Das Gießen funktioniert mit und ohne Tülle ohne zu tropfen, was im Alltag durchaus wichtig ist. Selbst die Verpackung war ein Highlight inkl. personalisierter, handgeschriebener Karte. Natürlich ist der Preis nicht ganz niedrig für einen Alltagsgegenstand, aber es lohnt sich. Ich würde diese Gießkanne jederzeit wieder kaufen!!!

Quickest delivery ever . I ordered on the Friday and I'm sure it came on the Monday , Tuesday at the latest . And it's SO PRETTY . I would say it's well worth the money , comes in a lovely little box gets you feeling fancy AF . Do it , buy the fancy watering can

This is a stylish, well-made watering can. Its size and construction suggest house-plants or greenhouse, rather than garden. I suspect that it won't look so nice if it's left outside for more than a few days, but I guess that won't harm the functionality.
