RocklandRolling Duffel Bag
C**A
CAPACITY! 3 Giant wheels! 3 structure runners! D shaped opening! I don't know about durability, yet.
Wish it had a front foot, so that it could stand with or without with or without a structured item as the base... that said, a box filling out the 4 corners of the bottom. And it stands very well. This is not a frustration or a good or bad, just an observation--- it is super easy to push as though pushing a dolly. This works really well. And when pushing the weight works for you, instead of working against you-- back twisting, shoulder vulnerable to extreme weight when pulling. If this duffel proves to be durable, I plan to reinforce the wheel end an add a couple of castors, through the fabric with gusset holes and throught the Plexiglass reinforcement material, and figure a way to lock it in place.Gonex has an interesting solution for this on one of their rolling totes.Looking forward to that project!PS: adding to positives here as there was only 100 charters to share the good points... right now I have 3 small hardsize suitcases, a large filled back pack. 3 36" rolling duffeles, which arrived unexpectedly, a king down pillow, sheets and down comforter (in a large vacume packed bag) a purse,/ back pack, a foot soaking tub filled with items , a lumbar pillow, 3 heavy Amazon returns, a full length winter coat in landing bag, and a large packing cube packed with 20 t-shirts, and a Yoga rolling tool... a grab all bag for coralling miscellaneous extra things that require being kept up with.I I weren't concerned about being charged for and oversized case and heavy ( double fee) I would have purchased 4, to check on my upcoming train trip. ( if I don't get charged an oversized suitcase, I will do that before my Dec train trip to NYC from ATL.... it is that usefully!Enjoy, if you purchase!!

use some thought when packing this bag
My husband and I now have 3 of these bags. We use them exclusively for car traveling, so I can't say how they hold up under airline travel conditions. I would say the fabric and construction is fairly sturdy, but not heavy duty. In my opinion, they are a good value for the price I paid. Note that the price of these bags varies over time and also depends on the color and pattern you choose. We watched for a good deal and bought the least expensive ones. The sides and ends of the bag are somewhat soft and flexible, which might partially explain why some reviewers have complained about the bag falling over when set on end. I always put stiff, heavy items at the wheel end of the bag so the bag is reasonably stable when I sit it on that end. I also pack light items at the top of the bag to keep it from being top heavy. That said, no matter how carefully I pack it, I pay attention when I am pulling the bag over uneven surfaces, because it does wobble from side to side under those circumstances. Here's a tip: If it starts to wobble, slow down briefly and let it straighten itself out. If you continue to pull it once it starts wobbling, it will wobble more and more until it eventually falls over. Physics.

Pass on this one
I ordered this bag specifically to be used for a cruise that we were going on. We had to fly from our home city to the East Coast and then take the ship back to our home so, this bag has only made one flight and was unpacked upon arrival onto the ship then repacked to disembark the ship and drive home forty five minutes away.First, upon receipt of this bag, I was really surprised at the size of this thing, it’s much larger than I had anticipated. I packed it for the cruise and the flight. The initial problem is that in order to pack this thing so that it stays within the weight limits required by the airlines, there is quite a bit of empty space left in the bag. With the cinch straps pulled tight to reduce the space problem, a new problem has emerged, the bag is now unstable and will not stand up on its own, it’s a bit floppy. If you try to lean the bag against something to have it stand on its own, the nice wheels on the bottom cause it to immediately fall over. Also because this bag is so big and has to fall into the weight category, I had to pack a second carry on size bag for the rest of my clothing which means I didn’t need this huge bag if I was gonna have to pack a second bag anyway.Next problem I ran into was checking into the airport, the bag was within the weight requirements however, the size of the bag became a problem. The airline was going to charge me extra because the bag exceeded the size limit by quite a bit, they were nice enough to accept it as is after explaining the situation.Getting this bag onto the ship was no trouble at all and it actually fit nicely under the bed for storage. At the end of the cruise, it’s size did come in handy in order to pack the items we had purchased in the different ports during the cruise. It did still have the stability problem of not standing on its own. The night before departure, all bags are placed outside the room so they can be gathered and moved for pick up at customs, I had to sandwich the bag between the bulkhead and another suitcase to keep it from blocking the hallway. The ride home obviously went without a hitch due to it being our own transportation.Overall, the bag is really much larger than thought which is not the fault of the bag but instead it’s my fault for not paying closer attention to the dimensions. The quality of the bag is a different story. I travel extensively with my work and have always used the rolling duffle type bags but never this size. I always get a lot of mileage out of my rolling duffles but they hold up to the abuse that the airlines provide on a regular basis. The bag I was going to retire after purchasing this new extremely large rolling duffle has served me well for four years, COVID slowed my travel quite a bit but, now that we are over COVID, travel has picked up again. The only issue I have with my four year old bag is that the pull tabs for the zippers have broken off, the bag itself shows some wear but not enough to make me totally retire it.This new Rockland roller duffle bag was to become my go to primary bag but, the biggest issue I have with this bag is the quality. After one flight with the airlines, it now has a couple holes in it and one of the seams appears to be coming loose. This bag needs to be made of a more durable material or canvas to make it worth the price paid. If this bag would last through multiple round trip flights then I would give it a better review but seeing as it barely survived a single one way flight, I can’t take the chance of it being a total failure somewhere between my home and Alaska. If it is being used for road trips only, it’ll probably last much longer but in my case, it’s all airlines, no driving.I’m disappointed with the performance, or lack of, of this bag and will be donating it, maybe someone else can use it for at least one more flight and may get lucky enough to get a round trip out of it before it disintegrates.

This 40 inch duffel is HUGE w/ Straps for cinching clothing down
Haven't used it yet, but seems decent to good quality. Main thing I got it for was our annual ski trip. I was tired of having multiple bags/suitcases. This bag is larger than I expected, which is fine for me. I could probably pack my entire closet in this thing. Time will tell how durable it is, but I got it the other day here for like 40 bucks - which is pretty amazing. If you have the room in your vehicle and you need a large duffel - this is the one. If you are flying - probably extra fees for this.

Lasted 8 flights thus far
Bought this item last year and have been very satisfied thus far. Got it at a deal price of $40. I jam it right full and have experience no failures in zippers, fabric or wheels. Been wheeled through multiple airports and Vegas casinos and the odd time yes it wheels a bit wonky but absolutely nothing I'm overly concerned about. I find it odd that some folks have had such terrible luck with the item stating it was useless with one trip or before they even hit airport. Not my experience. Will note I had hoped it was carry on size. I think you could get away with it on Canadian carriers (and if not packed as full as I) but I have checked it each trip so as to not bother carry on border security for carry ons.

Not very well made but does the job
I got this for my recent travels because I had a long item to bring that would not fit in my hardside luggage. I had no major issues with it but it does feel cheaply made and is starting to come apart after only one trip. Being able to roll this on the wheels I often stood it upright on the side but it is not protected there and there are now holes in the side from resting on the ground and stitching in other places is coming out. Also, it is not very stable on the wheels and any bumps will cause it to try to topple over which made quickly trying to cross a street difficult so I had to carry it which is not ideal. Overall it worked for what I needed but if I will be using such a bag more often I would get a better quality one.

BEWARE
The bag is fine. I was disgusted to find a dirty sock inside when I opened it. Thus far, no one from Amazon has replied to my inquiry.
