This series is getting better and better. Great mystery and action. The characters are “real “ and compelling. Looking forward to the next book

A good mix of scenes play out through this story, add in the paranormal and it brings the story into a good climax.

I found the first book interesting, so I moved onto this one. This world reminds me alittle of Mars in Total Recall in the mutant ghetto. Paired with the reality that money matters. Corperations rule what is left of the world after govnments destroyed it.The main characters are strong but far from perfect people. Some easy to like, some very complicated. There is enough humor to keep it moving. Lots of action. I am going to read the series. Saddly I can see the real world becoming this one.

Second reading just as good as the first. The characters are just so interesting with a storyline that grabs the readers attention

Strong independent female character and what I call a prophetic storyline, since it is addressing potential consequences of the scientific reality of global warning. Author is integrating supernatural characters who acquire their new physical mutationsas a result of an environmental apocalypse aggravated by nuclear war. As a result the same Corporations that ignored and were the main cause of the global warming have taken over. They proceed to recreate society to their specifications as a ruling oligarchy, which does not even fake it that the government is in charge. The resulting storyline combines corporate intrigue and a new abused and exploited underclass, with a powerful intelligent female lead as the underlying narrative.Libby is able to function and survive as a thief, consultant to the power class, defender of the oppressed and possible future savior. The male characters are present but do not dominate; the women including the villains are very much in charge.The only complaint I have is that who I believe to be male lead character does not meet up to the potential that he displays when first introduced. He seems to be constantly catching up at the end of the previous book and this one. Not sure he’s Libby’s equal, and I immediately pegged Ron as the bad guy in the previous book. Seem as if the males characters are somewhat predictable.

Here's another great read with plenty of action and story line. Libby is intelligent, strong and tough as nails. Just the kind of character I love and the story is compelling.

I’ve now read 3 of Kingsolvers series and all of them are a hit for me. Love her world building and novel use of supernatural types as well as mutants and others. Nice semi- dystopian near future without going cyberpunk - although I love that genre as well- keeping it to the supernatural world instead.

I liked the book because the heroine is a smart, strong woman who kicks butt. The plot is interesting with twists, turns and lots of action..However, ::semi-spoiler coming:: her love interests suck. One participated in a conspiracy against her and kept accusing her of crimes. The other has mutant prejudices. I don't know why she'd give either of these guys the time of day. That was a huge turn off for me that she be so stupid to overlook such major red flags. It's soo contrary to intelligent, kick-ass chick she is.

Really really loving the Chameleon Assassin series. It's a pretty great read. I can't seem to put it down when I get going.

I love this series. The main character is a strong independent women with lots of interesting characteristics and a soft heart. The plot is interesting and complex and the characters themselves are well developed. I loved the dystopia meets sci fi meets thriller aspect. A very different sort of series which I am really enjoying.

Another wonderful mystery and action packed story. I love everything that this author writes. I have yet to read anything that didn't delight me.

Stealth, sex, mutants and explosions, with better than average characters. What's not to like?A near dystopian future with a leading lady who edges towards the robin hood end of the spectrum (or perhaps a female Simon Templar?)

A little slower maybe a little harder to get into but all in all a good read will give judgment after 3rd book
